Yeah I think its one of those "nobody knows how long hes out for" type of Sturridge injuies. Hes the only one capable of replacing coutinho in terms of creating fluid attacking play (Leicester game is an example), Origi is amazing too but slows down the tempo just a little bit. Hope hes back soon

Any word on Sturridge? Is it another one of these mystery injuries that Klopp knows nothing about in terms of recovery time?

I'm hoping he's fit for Bournemouth, so we can our first choice midfield three (and give Can a rest)

Also think the way Bournemouth play, and particularly defend, at home can be exploited by Sturridge. Seem to remember him scoring there last season?

It's worked too:

It'll be interesting to see if we go with a front 3 of Lallana, Firmino, and Mane or keep Lallana in midfield and go with a front 3 of Fimino, Origi, and Mane.  Good options either way.

I like the latter. I think Lallana does us a ton of good from the midfield along with Hendo and Wij. Origi might even give us an added dimension of strength, pace, and size that teams weren't originally planning to deal with.

Doubtful for Sunday now as still not in training. Such a shame that when Coutinho wasn't injured he was always available and on the bench. Now that Coutinho is injured and we need him he's not available. Really need to get him back up and running before the hectic xmas schedule starts.

its hard to gauge that

aguero was doubtful last week

matip was rested this week but it has been said since he is around

they can be hit or miss. odd time a player pulls out late on with a niggle they havent a clue about

I wouldn't read too much into it, they're probably just cautious for the benefit of people choosing their team.

They seem pretty clueless. Best waiting for the pre-match presser.

There's never a good time to lose critical players to injury, and every game, every point is vital to us.  But if we have to lose players, I'd rather lose them when our opposition is Bournemouth, West Ham and Boro.

Sooner we get them back the better we'll all feel I suspect though.
I don't always visit Lobster Pot.  But when I do. I sit.

That was sadly the catalyst. We were in full control up until Mane went off. Lallana was way off the pace and they just walked through out midfield and defense.

Fingers crossed Mane isn't injured, and hopefully Matip is back for our next game also. On the same note, I hope Coutinho's recovery is going well, 1 week down, 4 or 5 more to go. We need the Magician back.

 off today.

It appeared he was reluctant to stretch his himself(3rd goal apart) for a while before he pulled up.Hopefully not too serious but I'm not so sure.

When I saw it, it had looked more like an ankle tweak to me. Hopefully he'll be ready for this coming weekend.

Sturridge doesn't seem to be with the squad at all, so I assume he is still injured.

"Sturridge isn’t part of the two-day bonding trip to Spain as he stayed behind at Melwood to undergo treatment on the calf problem which has sidelined him for the past three matches. The hope is that Sturridge will make sufficient progress to be able to rejoin the squad on their return from Catalonia."

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-injury-fears-eased-sadio-12282980

With how the bench looked on Sunday, we could really use him back to boost our options.
