What's the deal with Monaco these days? No longer backed by a wealthy guy so got a cracking youth setup or good scouts?

How attainable are their star players? Could we throw a lot of money at them and get one or two?

0-2 goal was a bit special. That pass from Pastore and nice finish from Cavani!

Surely this is the summer window that Lacazette finally moves, another great season for him goalscoring wise. Wonder where he ends up? Would love it if we got him.

Lyon 3-1 Marseille
Monaco 4-0 Marseille
Marseille 1-4 Monaco
Marseille 1 - 5 PSG

Its clear theres still a lot of work to do

Monaco are giving Nantes a kicking. Mbappe is going to be sold for absolutely massive money. Think Martial and then some.

Decided to watch a bit of European football for a change and have watched some of this game and yes, Mbappe looks some player. Would imagine the likes of Madrid, Chelsea and City would be in for him.

any good reasons why Monaco would sell Mbappe? I think they keep him for a few more years.

I read that its part of the strategy to sell a player to keep investing.

They don't need the 'extra' money but will slap a big price tag on Mbappe and Lemar (their most attractive assets) in the summer. I assume a lot of mid table and top 4 clubs would love a player like Lemar and Mbappe will be a guaranteed 20 goals a season striker soon. He's 18.

Liverpool would not be able to get Mbappe, I'm afraid. He's destined for the Barca's and RMs.

I would put Bernando Silva up alongside those two in terms of being an attractive asset, think all three of them will be sold for nothing less than £50 million.

I'd agree Mbappe is destined for the very top, but it may not be the greatest of moves for him to go to one of those clubs yet. I've seen reports we tried to sign him last March before he signed his first professional deal (for a small training fee), we'd have no chance now.

He will be going for €60-80m if he leaves this summer, but I hope he stays there for another season or two to develop further and without the added pressure of a big move.

True. B Silva should be another one garnering interest from almost all the top clubs.

Ligue 1 is the best conveyor belt of talent in Europe right now. Ridiculous amount of brilliant young players coming through. Mbappe, Augustin, Lemar, Kimpembe, Dembele, Coman etc. and then you have young established players like Laporte, Varane, Kante, Rabiot, Griezmann and Martial. Safe to say that France is the place to be if you're a top international scout.

We made a paltry offer 2 seasons back, I think. Then City made a 40mn Euros offer last season. Monaco rejected both and made him a pro with 1mn Euros signing on bonus. We have absolutely no chance now.

Nice came back from 2-0 down at home to draw 2-2 vs Caen last night, and Marseilles won 3-0 vs Angers.

Monaco at home vs Bordeaux later, with PSG away vs Lorient on Sunday.

1-0 to Monaco - a nicely taken goal, but poor defending from Bordeaux there on the corner. A lot of time and space for the scorer there...

As soon as Lacazette was subbed off, any attacking edge Lyon had, was lost. You could painfully see them towards the end trying to push on, getting a bit of possession only to be completely clueless what to do with the ball reaching the final third.

Some shocking crosses by their left back, players running with tunnel vision to nowhere.
Messi in fact doesn't have a recognizable trait.

It was funny to see Lyon fans turn on Ghezzal. He's almost violently disliked there now. I guess running down your contract does that to the fans. Still what a shit thing to do for a club he grew up at. Completely fucked his performances as well. No confidence whatsoever. This season should have been his breakthrough.

Not really, think that's a great signing you have to remember in the current market limited players like Pogba are going for £90 million.

Brilliant signing for the champions elect, who seem intent on getting stronger which is a scary thought.

Nice one - wouldv'e missed that otherwise :)

8pm kick off on BT Sport 3

some streams here - https://soccerstreams.net/streams/5150/monaco-12_vs_psg-1

Should be a cracking game - hope Monaco do it (for no other reason not really liking PSG and think fair play to Monaco of going the youth route instead of splashing the cash like they did a few years ago).

Nice play at home vs Bordeaux tomorrow night in the League - though sadly it looks like it's beyond them now (7 points off top with 8 games to go...)
