I dont get the vote? Cant we just like/respect Ronaldo without mentioning Messi all the time? We get bollocked for mentioning Carroll and Torres in the same sentence, and you dont see Lampard all over the Gerrard thread.

Why the poll? It should be obvious messi is the best, it is also obvious that ronaldo is the 2nd best and by a huge margin. Both players are above everyone by a large margin and IMO ronaldo will go down as one of the greats.

His scoring record is fuckin' amazing, didn't he break a few records last season in la liga? That should tell you enough about him, considering the players that have played in that league.

I didn't know his international scoring record was so good as well. Whether he's arrogant or a twat is irrelevant really, sometimes think we could do with such players in our side / squad.

Will remove it if its too one sided at the end of the day.

Although they are just training videos they kind of show just how demanding football is and probably alongside boxing it is as demanding a sport as there is. I know that people have said that tennis is harder in some threads but in reality there is no comparison.

Still second best player in the world. Better than Xavi and Iniesta. Not sure if he still has but he had more goals than games for Real Madrid (something like 58 in 52). Not even Lionel Messi can beat that, and Ronaldo does a lot more on his own.

Oh and to the person who said would anyone swap Suarez for Ronaldo, if he had Suarez's attitude I'd have Ronaldo every day of the week. Suarez is world class but Ronaldo is one of my favourite footballers of all time.

Geniunely can't tell if this part is sarcasm or not but he's the penalty taker and takes most of the direct free kicks.

Messi?  I thought pens fell to Villa and setpiece duty was split between Villa, Alves, Messi, and Xavi.

No, Messi takes all of the penalties and I'd say the majority of the free kicks.(Xavi takes a lot too, Villa less so and Alves barely gets a look-in anymore)

i still think tennis is more demanding. physically and most signficantly mentally.. but anyway ronaldo is a fantastic player, regardless of these statements

Somehow  the more obvious 'because I'm an absolute fucking prize c*nt' slipped his mind then.
Exactly, there are many, many good looking, rich, excellent footballers who aren't universally hated, but obviously he hasn't bothered to consider what sets him apart...

Besides which, he's an ugly fucker anyway. He has all the looks, charisma and sexuality of a Ken doll. Probably has the exact same shapeless mound beneath his underwear too.
He is the cat who walks by himself, and all roads are alike to him.

For Madrid:

65 appearances, 70 goals - in the league.

94 appearances, 91 goals - overall.

He exploded in his last three seasons at Man Utd too - but those records (last 3 seasons) now pale in comparison to his Madrid record.

Last 3 seasons for Man Utd:

101 appearances, 66 goals - in the league

155 appearances, 91 goals - overall.

Just to show a 'comparison' of approximate terms, Torres scored 65 in 102 games in the league and 81 in 142 for Liverpool - and that was phenomenal.

I think his comment was meant to wind up people, and if so, mission accomplished.  I laughed at his comment, because I think he knew exactly what the response would be.

I can appreciate his ability and his work ethic without having to actually like him.  The incessant need to bring Messi's name into it seems to be the response of people who can't admit Ronaldo's talent and ability.  "Yeah, well... he's no Messi!"  True, but we weren't talking about Messi, and quite frankly, neither was Ronaldo.  I've read this thread and the Castrol one, and have to say, the only ones more fascinated with Ronaldo's sexuality, his body and the size of his cock are some of his detractors on RAWK.
Oh, these sour times.

No one admires resilience when you were just plain wrong all along - that's just twattishness.

I thought you wrote Ken Dodd initially. Then I realised Ken has more charisma so you couldn't possibly have written that.

Goal scoring machine he is
"You have to admire animals. Hamster spun round in a wheel three times bigger than him and abruptly lands on his back. Then just gets up and carries on as if nothing happened! If that was a human he'd be helicoptered to hospital, off work for 6 months have back issues for 20 years and then start legal proceedings against the wheels owner"

Couldn't give him the actual game shirt? Much more valuable than a usual £60 matchshirt you can buy at the giftshop.

Also, it looked like he was kind of guided to him. Didn't look like it was his decision. But I guess he could've refused, so nice gesture.

You may think he's a prick/berk/knob blah blah blah I don't give a shit and neither does he.

He bangs them in week in and out for Real Madrid he is world class period and is up there with Messi but Messi is number 1.

Unlucky Ronaldo but he will be remembered.

Even through all the Liverpool fan's hatred you can't deny he is a class class player.
