When your Mum used to pick you up from school and you'd run out and be like 'Mummy I got 9/10 in the spelling test today', would she go 'phenomenal, son'.

Cos if she did she's a stupid fuck.

Traore is boss. Carved out a decent career for himself after leaving us as a European Champion. He may have never been good enough, but he gave his all and played a massive part in 2005. The Burnley OG seems rather insignificant , especially when compared to him clearing it off the line in Istanbul. Well in Djimi lad!  ;D

the lad sure had his great games, including on the march to istanbul, look back on him as a mini legend, we know hes not up there with king kenny rushie barnes etc but to me  anyone who helped us to the little trophy in 2005 deserves a fair bit of love an respect from us.

Didn't he score a cracker, away in Europe?  Can't remember more than that without looking it up but sure he did.  I'm thinking maybe with his right foot but that would just be taking the piss
Didi Hamann

In the corridors and changing rooms of Anfield I met many people - the great, the talented, the legendary.  I know that I only met one genius.  He was a small, smiling man with a neatly clipped beard.  His name was Rafael Benitez.

He wasn't the worst player we've ever had, had a good game now and again but wasn't consistantly good enough. I'll always have maximum respect for his work rate and attitude and also clearing the ball off the line on that famous night :)

Still got it.
"I was pleased also with Peter Crouch. We have been talking to him, before and after his nose operation, to show more confidence with his heading.

"Now it seems to have worked. Lets say that if he has a few games without scoring again, maybe we should arrange to break his nose again."
