The Hilton Istanbul Bosporus is the full name, only a 10 min walk from Taksim Square as well.
Team stayed at that one for the friendly against Galatasaray...view from the bar is amazing...

Tickets will be a piece of piss.

Stadium holds about 70 odd thousand.

W'ell get 3 thousand away.

Probs sell half of that, will go to general on fancards without a doubt for this.

Don't know why anyone would be worried about tickets.

As plenty of others have said, tickets will be a piece of piss...Spurs were only charged £11.50 per ticket as well so it definitely won't break the bank.

Well the Beşiktaş v Spurs attendance was 19511 - so lets not discuss issues with tickets. Its going to be a piece of piss. The ground was empty v Gala in 2006 and with respect it will be again. Looking forward to staying near the Blue Mosque this time and its great they have a train line to the moon to make life a touch easier. Apologies if mentioned already but KO will be 22.05 Istanbul Time !!!

Just booked the Hilton ParkSA, just near Taksim square. 374 TLY for 2 nights, twin room. Works out at £100 between the two of us.

Can't complain at that.

Gone for that one as well Cal, £396 for 4x nights and will get 12% back from Quidco.

Gone for a long trip with decent accomodation on this one. The fact its not until late Feb gives a bit of time to save.

Flying to Budapest from Manc Tuesday night, then on to Istanbul on Wednesday. Back to Budapest Friday and then back to Manchester Saturday. Flights £100 (Ryanair and Wizz). Accomodation (first night 3*, two nights in istanbul 4*, last night 5*) £87.

Really looking forward to this. Budapest is one of my favourite cities. Did the day tip for Istanbul in 2005 so saw nothing of it - but I've heard good things.

Saw that one fella via Budapest but couldn't afford the extra day until the Saturday.

Went via Eindhoven on the Wed instead for a night out in Holland then onto Istanbull the next day (Thur) for the day of the game.

I think us Reds are going to be jetting in from all corners of Europe for whatever the cheapest stopover cities were in Europe breaking up the flight lol!!!

Quick suggestion for anyone looking for an alternative route.

There's a regular train running from Sofia to Istanbul and its cheap as chips.

Sofia is a great city and likewise cheap as fuck for accom, food and ale.  Ryanair and sleazyjet all fly to sofia.

Must be Transavia, a Dutch airline, part of the KLM cooperation if that rings a bell.

We're going via Eindhoven on the way out with that KLM subsidiary, and then back via Amsterdam on the Friday. Small wait at Schiphol (?) but not long enough to venture into town sadly

What's handiest for bars, sightseeing, bars and to and from the stadium/airport? (I know I said bars twice ... I like bars  ;D)

Transavia mate.

Same as an earlier post (Mattj) Going with him, you need to come back via Amsterdam and have a 4 hour wait. For £160 though from the North West not bad at all.
