Made up for him tonight. Hes been playing really well these past few weeks and personally think he should be starting games.

Anyone knows whats his contract situation is currently?

Nice pen tonight. Couple of decent cameos and possibly deserves to start ahead of the erratic Can. But let's not carried away, in his time here he has either been injured or inconsistent. I'd get rid personally.

Why get rid? Who are we going to get that is better to sit on the bench and fill in when needed?

He's a great player to have in the squad.

We already have shit in the country, and the game of Liverpool fills life with joy. Thanks

Think Emre needs a break. Allen is something we don't have in our midfield at the moment which is gaurenteed tidyness and fluidity.

He looks up for the fight and really hope we use him.

The only reason he`s not playing imho is the lack of height. And right now we`re going through this weird period when team like Stoke completely changes their way of playing and utilize hoofball even more than with Pulis and they do that because the narrative is that we`re horrible defending set-pieces.

Well we defended every last one of them today so hopefully teams will ease up and Klopp won`t be so reluctant to put someone like Allen in the team at Emre`s expense who doesn`t deserve it on his current form, he needs a little break from the team.

Should be in the starting eleven at the moment. Can looks exhausted. Definitely playing himself into a new contract.

he put his pen away very well, as regarding his recent performances, he has some important involvement with a couple of goals, his game time is limited because he's not allowed to run more than 90 minutes I. A calender week

I'm not a lover of Joe Allen, I'm miles away, but squad rotation is not favorable to him

Not his greatest fan by any means but over the last month or so, he's probably the only player we have who's been consistently good when called upon.

Give him a run.

Remember he could never score by the way? 3 Anfield games in a row now that he's found the net :D

First name on the teamsheet, right now, for me.

Apart from Lucas, who lets be honest, even if he's not consistently boss, he'll at least give his all, the rest of the midfield is either totally out of form or unfit/playing through the pain barrier.

Not just that the rest of the competition isn't performing well enough, but Allen's last 4/5 appearances have been pretty fucking boss.

He's a great player to have in the squad.

I kinda agree, although depends what offers come in for him.  I'm speculating that Klopp has issues with his size. The good thing about Allen is he is different to our other CM's.
As I've said before, the Full English is just the base upon which the Scots/Welsh/NI have improved upon. Sorry but the Full English is the worst of the British breakfasts.

I think Klopp has an issue with his size too. It's sort of understandable given our aerial and set-piece weakness so I'm not really having a go, but I do hope he gives him a chance. There's not much more he could have done in his appearances.

Tonight's game was the perfect example of why we could really do with using him for a run of games, but it took an age for him to be brought on despite not playing at the weekend.

Not only does he keep us ticking - but he keeps us attacking. I don't think he should be starting every game, but when we're struggling to put a string of passes together, he should absolutely be the first person Klopp looks at.

I would put him up further forward! I appreciate that he makes himself available in the box, mostly none of our midfielders offer this.

Klopp is getting the best from Allen, even if he isn't playing all that much. Allen is making a consistent and tangible impact now in a way he wasn't under BR. (He had some good games under Rodgers for sure, but we wasn't the game changing, match winner we're seeing of late.) I don't know if Allen has a long term future here, but I reckon Klopp will raise his game another few levels if he sticks around.

Think he is benefitting from not having nearly as much pressure on him to perform at high levels.  He just comes on and is asked to do what comes natural to him, no more DM responsibilities where he's getting muscled off the ball constantly and losing headers left and right.

Joe Allen is a player I'd imagine Shankly would have loved in his team. A good no-nonsense lad who knows the meaning of hard work.

The players around him have a trust in him, too. He seems to have always had a good understanding with Coutinho and Suarez never shied away from giving the lad the ball, either.

Hopefully we'll see more of him in the backend of the season.

Trying to be objective, i never rated Allen as BR brought him in to help with ball circulation and his "tiki taka" method.. which got abandoned after a while. Think he has struggled to find a role in the team to be quite honest. He lacks height & also the physicality (he does try though!!) for a good number of games. Can see he has tried to reinvent himself and to Klopps credit he is trying to play him when he feels he is an option - AND further up the pitch. Allen has played well imho under Klopp. Seems to be better up the pitch ie attacking rather than doing a Lucas .... I wouldnt mind if he stayed. One of the few who keeps going and going :). Good stuff from him!!

Surely he needs a new clause in his contract that forbids him to shave or have a hair cut now.

Agree he should be starting games, most who sit around me at the match can't believe Can gets in front of him.

I still think our midfield lacks a real dominant leader, we don't have enough quality in there but Joe should be starting games at the moment.
