Glad for Hendo, but is it just me who looks at that table and wonders why Yaya Toure didn't decide to be shite a year earlier!!

...or just stick to his averages.
Ah shut it yer fucking fanny. Sorry to upset you, but we're going to twat these c*nts. The only fluke will be that we don't rupture our collective banjo strings from the dry bumming we're giving these tonight.

Great news. Those stats from the table further up the thread are an eye opener as well. Well deserved and is certainly captain material.

Great news, and I personally believe with no Gerrard at the club (unfortunately) we will see him push on and become even better next season.
We may sign Salah, but I'll show my arse in the middle of town if we sign one of VVD or Keita. Not gonna happen.

Great news, it would cost an absolute fortune to replace a good, home grown player like Hendo and the lad has a great attitude.

That's not a bad lean either so I wouldn't be surprised if there's a leaning bonus in this contract. Also nice to see that Ayre has invested in a decent pen so those increased TV revenues are definitely paying dividends.

It was the right move by the club. We need to keep this current core together. If we can keep Sterling then I think in the next few years we'll have another deep-end-of-season challenge. If we could buy a star (Reus, Higuain, etc) then I think it'd lift the whole club.

There were reports his salary was around £60-70k when he signed, given his progress and the likelihood of him being our next captain, £100k seems pretty reasonable.

Model professional, gets his head down and works hard. But that should not be enough to be one of the top earners for a club like Liverpool FC. Pretty much a sign of the times and a lesson in what has gone wrong for us over the last 20 years. Overspend on average players and then wonder why we can't compete. Hope he proves me wrong.

No, unfortunately his stats probably mirror City's in comparison to the previous year.  They chased us down to the death last year and this year have fallen off a cliff.

He's a hell of a lot more than that. Provides a good number of goals and assists for the team. If he can take one of those stats and take it up to higher levels, he will be a top class player.

Great news and congratulations. Well deserved considering the manager tried to swap him for clint fucking dempsey. I'm in the camp where i do believe he is captain material. He's not going to do a Stevie and captain that way, he cant, totally different player. If i had one tiny little issue with his game and for me, right now its his only issue, i wish he would take just a second, even a half a second or so longer to execute on his decision making. He has all the right ideas but sometimes is just a tad to quick to make that pass - maybe its the adrenaline or something that forces him to hit a pass too hard (obviously not all passes) but If he calmed down just a hair, a fraction, his technique would go up a few levels and his stats would rocket.
Anyway, well in Jordan. Touch of class really when you compare it to the other lad  :champ

Exactly and he really stepped up this season mainly due to us finally playing him in the right position for a good part of the season. He's only gonna get better after this.
