Who else is on our bench. Like having Suarez there as back up.

Full bench is: Doni, Suarez, Kuyt, Downing, Adam, Skrtel, Flanagan.

Offline please, I have my reasons for it but...

Turnbull; Bosingwa, Alex, Luiz, Bertrand; McEachran, Romeu, Lampard; Malouda, Lukaku, Torres.

Is the right one.
Cheers

They're good upfront, their defense is shaky and even though Romeu and McEachran are good footballers we have the quality to stop them.

Worried about Lukaku and Romeu, to be honest, but a strong squad from us.

Obvious Lukaku suddenly playing as well as he can is obvious.
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

If we can control the midfield, we should be able to win.  Their attack could go either way (who knows how Lukaku will play...), and their defense will be pretty weak.  Alex is good, but David Luiz is crazy.

Turnbull

Bosingwa - Alex - Luiz - Bertrand

McEachran - Lampard - Romeu

Lukaku - Torres - Malouda

Molouda's not starting. It's Anelka instead. Think Anelka will sit behind the front two.

Expecting Turnbull to have a blinder. Something about us makes opposition keepers really turn it on.

Good lineup, we are massively capable of doing them. As said before it's fully expected Torres will score but we should still win.

Still no Aurelio then?

Is he injured again? Or to put it another way, has there been any time this season when he's been fit?

Really would have liked to rest Lucas in this match.  Besides Suarez, he is the one player we can't afford to get injured.  Hopefully, we can batter them so we leave Suarez on the bench.

Maybe lack of match-fitness ruled him out of the selection.

From what I've seen, they've mostly played Lukaku as a sub out wide with Drogba or Torres central so far this year, so it's not THAT unusual, but I guess we'll see.

Big, big game for Andy Carroll this. He needs to show that when Suarez is out, he can be an excellent option to bring in and he needs to force his way into Kenny's thinking.

Lukaku needs to play up front lone as a CF and playing him out wide will seriously not effect us unless he cuts in side.

Would really be the perfect opportunity for him to force his way into the starting XI.  Let's see what he can do.

I've seen 3 Chelsea lineups in the space of five minutes.

See, Arsenal do have strength in depth. We've named three teams in ten minutes; not many clubs can do that.

Any kind of expectation or focus on the man seems like a burden to carry for Carroll atm, bar the price tag. Let him get into the game and probably show few of his strengths.

That's suicide from AVB. Four muppots at the back and a 'keeper I don't know much about. And then three midfielders who won't do any defensive work. We'll out-pass them and use the enormous space they're gonna give.
It's just sex and violence, melody and silence.

Both teams are strong, it should be a good match.
Torres will enjoy playing against Carragher and Coates. His pace and control will be utilised, I feel Enrique will have to do a far share of watching Torres.
If Lucas had had rest, we would win this. Considering he will be tired, I'm not so sure.

As a lot have already said, their youngsters worry me. There are plenty of places up for grabs in Chelsea's team so they'll need no extra motivation. There's also the worry that Torres will score, which wouldn't be a nightmare given it's only the Carling Cup, but I'd still rather his barren run against us (and everyone come to think of it) continue.

Having said that, our team is good enough to win and I'm very happy at Bellamy's inclusion. I don't hold much hope for Carroll tonight, but I'd love to be proved wrong.
