I don't hate the man, I'm sane enough to believe you can choose to do what you want with your life without being vilified for it. Nevertheless you make choices and they create who you are. Michael's choices suggested that he veiwed Liverpool as an opportunity to advance his own career, nothing more and that he regarded the club as no more special than any other club.
Fine, no problem.
But please, we are asking him to go round the world suggesting that Liverpool should be a brand that others should choose, for godsakes, the man didn't want it it himself, how can he sell it to others. When he gets asked in Singapore whether fans over there should support LFC, United or Real Madrid what is he going to say, choose Liverpool, I didn't. He'd probably get more respect as an Everton ambassador, would at least have some plausibility.
