My channels freeze quite often. Is this a box issue or a subscription issue? First time it happened, they started working again after a rescan. 2nd time I had to get a replacement line. 3rd time another rescan fixed it. Now they've froze again. I'm thinking of contacting my provider and asking him for a refund, but want to be sure it's a problem with the sub first.
Mine happens occasionally and not with every channel,at the moment I have two set ups both with different "providers" and it happens with both of them,I get around it by installing as many of the "same" channel as I can (for the football ;) ) if one freezes then 9/10 times one of the others will work.

Hit the home key, then double left arrow to get to system, click on advanced installation then :

Click satellite tuner 1 configuration.
In the satellite list make sure 28.2e astra is selected.
Press red to scan, in the pop up box :

Blind scan ON
Mode ALL
Net NIT ON
Polarization auto

then click ok to san
Just seen this. Seems to be working.
Right. Got the tv back on but not as before. Just popping this in here to do tomorrow as aont got my laptop withme. I reset the whole box to factory.   ;D
shouldnt take long make. Install the update when you first turn it on. Once thats done grab oscam from here

http://www.lavatronicsdownloadcentre.com/freedownloads/index.php?dir=Amiko/Amiko%20A3/Spark2%20Android%203RD%20Party%20Plugins/

Stick it on a flash drive and install it. Once you've installed, open it scroll to the config tab enter your server details.

Then go to http://www.lavatronicsdownloadcentre.com/freedownloads/index.php?dir=Amiko/Amiko%20A3/Spark2%20Lavatronics%2028.2E%20Channel%20List/

Grab the list dated Dec 21 unzip it and put the folder on a flash drive, then on the box go to settings>misc settings>database transform and select import.

Once thats done you just uninstall the old xbmc version thats on it and install the latest kodi.

After resetting the box i had to install kodi again which i did.when i opened it it automatically had paradox on it. Seems odd as it was a fresh install

I was having a lot of freezing issues with one of my boxes a while ago and I was advised to change the version of CCcam I was running and it defo helped.
In my experience, if you can run MGcamd on your box it's much better.

Ive sorted the box out now. Only problem is the channels. I dont recall scanning for channels when i first had it. I just added the sub and the list came on. All nice and neat in sections sports, movies etc. Now its a complete mish mash of everything.  Any ideas ?

So, just back from the game today. Sit down to watch some boxing, and no channels are working  :no

When I open DCC, it says Telnet Disconnected, telnet Login Incorrect

I didn't change a thing, and it was working fine last night.

And a scan has picked up 0 channels. Not even any FTA channels  :o

Any ideas?

For iptv the mag box is by far and away the best device to use.

Does anyone know if you can use a sky card with all the channels and put it into a sky  box with just the basic channels or is every card linked to the original box? Want to watch the game tomorrow but my girlfriend doesn't have bt sports. Hope this make sense thanks.

I'm not sure what channels worked, but I definitely remember when I had sky I used to bring the card upstairs to put in the box in the bedroom.

Just took the whole  box to my birds house in the end, to make sure it would work. My dad wasn't too impressed.

Is there a way to easily create your own channel list on the amiko a3 box? ie via pc or something?  My system crashed again today and i had to scan for channels, the channel list i have must be out of date as  ive lost a ton of channels. Mustve scanned at least 4 times tonight trying to find out why channels disappear when i add my channel list etc, takes ages to scan as well.

EDIT: scrap that, i found a way to keep the channel list i have which i can update. phew!

Thanks

Additional SKY HD box
« Reply #2351 on: May 23, 2016, 07:08:20 am »
Hi,

Getting a second SKY HD box for an extension being built, I already have one in another room so already have the dish installed.

In the new room all I want to do is have a large TV and  SKY connection to view movies/sport etc
SKY will come and set TV and everything up for me, I don't need an aerial connection do I?
I am assuming the new box/TV is all I need for the guy to just link up to my existing dish.
Wherever my boy is that's where I want to be.

You can use the existing dish, but the pickup doohickey will be changed from a dual output to a quad output, and there will be 2 more wires from the dish. But yes, the installer will take care of it.

The new sky boxes (Sky Q) can do it all wirelessly. Might be worth looking at rather than getting multiroom.
