Sad to hear about this and deepest condolences to the family of Daniel. Fair play to the policeman and staff member also who comforted the father Kevin. Great idea about the banner in the other thread too - please support that and the applause tribute in the 25 minute during the replay.

First of all, condolences to the family. Never a good news to receive, leave alone receiving it when you are far away from family. I pray for the family and for the departed soul. RIP.

Secondly, fair play to the police and the staff member. It is one thing to be saying "yeah I understand etc etc" and pushing him on to his superior officers. But to be there, showing a teeny tiny bit of empathy, giving the lad a patient listen, knowing that is exactly what he probably wanted, shows the psychological side of what, sometimes, police and members of staff have to be prepared for.

A small tribute applause will definitely go a long way in terms of showing appreciation for the fan of an opposition, yet respectable, club.
