Maybe he's referring to phone numbers/email addresses? But the threads are only visible to registered members so not sure why anyone would want to use a phone number or email address in any way other than intended by the threads.

The site has over 41,000 registered member, of which more than 19,000 have never even posted once. But I'm sure they're all throughly trustworthy people.

Exactly. Not to mention people probably enjoy the (relative) anonymity internet forums provide, no need to keep the threads at all.
