Just finished the single player demo and had a few games on the multiplayer.

Really enjoy it. Single player looks amazing and was fortunate enough to play a few games who was level 80 who gave me and a fellow noob a tutorial.

Multiplayer P v E is pretty good. Pity the connection always seems to go when I'm about to complete Wave 10.

Happened to me last night on Silver. Helped smash the game with some who I think is from here anyway (Deathtap52?), then on Wave 11 with 20 seconds to go, I d/c'd and didn't get any experience or credits. So mad.

The Co-Op MP is great stuff though. It is genuinely difficult even when you're maxed out on Silver, Gold must be nigh-on impossible. Can't wait for the full thing with Geth and Collectors as enemies.

Also the day-one DLC leaked onto the marketplace. Anyone who wants to know what it is, have a look now.

Spoiler
It is called "From Dust", and you get a Prothean squadmate ???

That would be me.

And yeah, that was right as we were about to finish the game We were in a party at the time and 2 people disconnected from the party, but you both came back instantly. Saw the other person in the game so presumed you were in until the final score came up, bit of a piss take for you, can't remember what the difficulty was, but if it was silver, even worse.

Must admit, I'm quite good at this game, I tare up the multiplayer, got a few nice messages from a guy after I won rounds 9 and 10 on my own on silver, got a nice message, later on joined his game in progress and did the exact same thing again, even more messages. Wasn't even my most experienced class.

Although, when I try playing as a new class, I play as if I'm experienced with the class... which doesn't end well. Get a bit too cocky.

Well it seems EA have decided to revert to usual form in screwing customers over. There's day 1 DLC all lined up for the game. The guys in the US will have to pay an extra 10 to 20 dollars, and they're already raising hell, while you guys in the UK will have to fork out an extra 10 to 20 quid for it for the pleasure of playing.

If you haven't a clue what I'm talking about, here's a video about the whole issue:

I'm getting the CE which comes with it for free, it's really not fair on people getting the standard edition though.

Once you learn just who/what the new character is, it is suddenly massively important to the game and therefore a shame if you're priced out of buying it.

Yep, which was the crux of the whole fuss. Fingers crossed EA gives up and sells it on Steam eventually and I wait for a sale to pick up the lot.

Really unimpressed by this development. Hard to see how the dlc character will not be pivotal to how the story plays out.

For those with connection issues use port forwarding. See Bioware forums you need to open 3659-3659 & 6000-6000. After doing this I have never been cut off from the multiplayer. Pretty much 65% of the time prior to doing this I would get d/c whilst in the game.

Fucking love the multiplayer. I have gone all South Korean this week, been doing nothing but playing the game, eating, showering, minimum sleep, shitting etc, rinse & repeat. Never been a huge fan of multiplayer FPS but PvE really makes it, reminds me a bit of Left4Dead in the team play. Massively addictive.

p.s., I bought the standard version, does that mean I will not get a character? And will I be able to pay for it?

I can't work Origin out, I purchased the game, but it does not show up in Origin, even though I have an email confirmation. Might give them a bell and buy the CE version.

All I can say is what a fucking game.

OK just watched that vid. Fucking disgrace. Cancelled my order until they sort this shit out. They incidentally gave me a 15% discount code for my next purchase. Will now wait and see if EA change their minds. I suspect not. This shit will really test my principles, want to play the full game so bad, having invested time, money etc on the series but ripping customers who want to support developers this way is simply not on.

That's not the half of it. Apparently everyone who cancels gets that coupon, not to mention the fact that some people have actually had problems cancelling, they just get a message returned saying this transaction cannot be processed at this time. Must be a big enough problem they're trying to stem the tide.

Got my refund just now. I guess I'm lucky to have it come through so quickly. Hope they sort this shit out because the game is close to genius.

Don't think it will be. As the demo isn't. The game has too many powers/functions etc to be truly compatible with an Xbox controller. Also shoot'em-ups should always be played with a mouse (PC gaming is leagues ahead of PS3/Xbox).

GAME Will Not Be Stocking Mass Effect 3
Internal letter sheds light on GAME's stock problems.

A source has revealed to IGN that GAME, the UK's biggest specialist retail store, will not be stocking Mass Effect 3 when it is released on March 9th.

The document below, which came from one of the group's flagship stores, indicates that GAME will not be stocking ANY of EA's March releases after SSX. Customers with pre-orders will be given £5 worth of Reward Card/Elite points.

Steam take a chunk of profit, EA do not like that.

You have to order the virtual copies for PC on EA's "Origin".

I don't really care. I just want to be able to play the game the way that is most comfortable to me(i.e not hunched over a mouse and keyboard). Looks like that will have to be on a console.

Actually it's steam policy that game DLC must be available via steam therefore new EA games wouldn't be on steam store.
Not that it made a difference and EA would probably do it with origin out now.

Also steam take a much smaller chunk than retailers

If they ever do a film, that is how I want it to be. The CGI is amazing in that, but a full production will be even better. The part where the little girl has the shadow loom over her and then looks up to see the giant Reaper ship hover in the sky is a fantastic bit of direction. Gave me goose bumps that did.

Found out last night that I had deleted my ME2 save from PS3!!! WTF!? I have no idea why I did that as I knew you'd need it for ME3, I had all members alive as well! HAD ONE!!

I wonder if this will have a little prologue like 2 did so you can make some choices, I don't think you can import ME2 saves onto PS3, I know you can do it with PC and XBOX 360 but think I am screwed for PS3 :(

Anyone know if it's at all possible, seems such a waste doing so well only to be "vanilla" in ME3

Cheapest place to get this for PC anyone?

seen it for £28 on sainsburys & zavvi, think zavvi includes the dlc as well

cheapest i've seen for digital download is £23 for the russian version on cjs-cdkeys.com which requires a 12mb download to fix the text language (audio is in english)
