Hales now has scored the highest score in ODI history for England (171 and still going) beating Robin Smith's 167 against Australia 23 years ago.

This England side really is one of the top ODI sides about. Pasting Pakistan this series. Just need to put it together in a tournament now.

This is why England do persevere with Hales, especially in this format. When he comes off, he generally goes massive.

Clyne would be one of those players who were always keen to play but never bowled, never batted higher than 9 and alternated between Third Man and Fine Leg!
