is it only special delivery, or can i not collect it at the home match

You should be able to select the option to collect; although it didn't let me this morning so I called and spoke to someone to make that arrangement.

The lad I'm going with is a bit of a fanny and wants tickets before we go rather than get spares out there.
So if anyone who qualifies for the first sale fancies getting me 4 that'd be sweet.

Thanks to those who offered via pm (I'm not sure why but I can't pm back, probably because I'm thick and I can't work out how) and am now sorted thanks to a kind rawkite soul.

Glad you've sorted your tickets. You need 15 posts according to the FAQS to send a PM.  Just the one needed mate  :)

Looks like roughly half have been sold. Does anyone reckon this will survive the all STH sale on Monday and go to members?  I'd rather sort myself than rely on someone else.

I hope so mate. I'm already sorted myself twice over! But would love to be able to go with a ticket that is in my own name.

Haha, why not, at least you're actually attending.  Always envied travelling Reds. First away and student loan will cover this one and hopefully, if there's a sale, many more! :P

Normal taxis are cheap enough. Start at 3.2TL, then 2TL per km. From Ataturk to taksim, it should be under £15.  £23-25 from Sabiha Gocken.

*hypothetical question*

if 4k tickets for this sells out to credit hunters and we get through and draw Everton/spurs/Celtic in the next round and get 3k seats, will the club bring back proof of travel from Beşiktaş?

It would be simple to do, tickets to be picked up at Anfield with turkish stamp in passport, no Turkish stamp no ticket.

that's one option but can't see that being enforced.

In theory this game could make any previous order history for European aways be worthless for future rounds/seasons.

Reasonably confident now for a couple as The club didn't say 'Only in the event tickets are still available, the following sale will take place' as they did for Palace.

They did it for Basle a mate of mine said so there's no doubt.  They also confirmed it "Supporters are strongly advised to retain ticket stubs and proof of travel documents"

If this does sell then those just joining the ladder will be right back off it if we get a typical away allocation unless it's a bugger to get to like Trabzonspor.

Very rarely do you get your passport stamped nowadays and with electronic visa , I don't think the little stamps would be issued unless they still stamp the passport on exit

We go to Turkey regular and since the introduction of the electronic visa they no longer put the 'wee sticker' in your passport but DO stamp a page in your passport. Red stamp for date of entry and you get a blue stamp when you depart.

My advice is to show your Visa paper at passport control and open your passport on a clean page and ask the nice person that doesn't smile to stamp passport if they don't immediately do it.

Just in case proof of travel is required in future then the blue/red stamp will suffice. Enjoy the Effes and Tuborg lads and lasses, sorry I can't be there.  :(

Hello from Istanbul :)

As a couple of Galatasaray fans, we want to attend the away section to this game with LFC fans. Can anyone bring us tickets to us? We tried to buy them from the official website but we do not qualify for the standarts (since we haven't attended any of the necesary games).

Can anyone fill us with some info please?

Thanks !

Lads thinking about attending the Galatasaray game on Friday 27th - talked to a Gala supporter earlier this week who said that you need a passolig to be able to entry the stadium. Read more about the whole thing here: http://z6.invisionfree.com/UltrasTifosi/index.php?showtopic=31266 / http://www.passolig.com.tr. He said that the game won't be sold out and that you can go to their Ticket Office on match day - or before - and sort tickets + a passolig (cost about 10 euros) at the same time.

Also, I might have missed it, but is Thomas Cook or someone else sorting any coaches to and from the stadium? Cheers.

Don't think it really matters to be fair. These will probably sell out to people trying to get one credit as it would guarantee them a final ticket. (all homes and 1 away)
They won't really bother about the later rounds until the final.
That's when the stamp in the passport should be used.
I'm going to Turkey on my own but a couple of season ticket holding mates are gonna try for the credit tomorrow, and I can't blame them. The system is what it is

Still not sure whether to buy one of these for the credit on Wednesday. Went to madrid not on my cards and will go to more this season and in the future , but it's just whether they ask for proof of travel.

Probably may as well buy it for £11.50 though.

The allocation for the final may only be about 14000. Minus commitments to corporates, sponsors, ex players etc if there is loads on one from Madrid and then more from this, having all homes plus 1 isn't an absolute certainty for a ticket by any means.

I believe you can apply for tickets through Uefa as well and you just go straight into the ballot for a potential final ticket. Not sure how many tickets they hold back though
