Good luck Charlie.

Really glad this is over and done with, and I hope we'll have some more good news to look forward to soon.

Made up. Really love his ability with a dead ball and even though he took too many risks with killer balls last season, playing in our team should calm him down in that regard and show off his ability to play efficiently as well as devastatingly.

The number of CM's we have? Not a concern for me.

ARE YOU CHARLIE ADAM? wow such an intelligent footballer who writes great articles and loves Izaguirre
:-X

I'm much prettier and much leaner than Charlie, but then, i am almost certain he earns a lot more money than me.

I'm a bit underwhelmed to be honest.Adams a good footballer but is he what we want to carry us back to the pinnacle of the league and to where we belong?

He also said this:

"I used to try and come to Old Trafford as much as possible to see United, and also follow them to away games when I could,” he said. “A lot of my family are United fans, and I loved watching United’s players. When you’re a player yourself, you want to see the very best play. If you canšt learn from coming to Old Trafford, where can you learn from?”
It was United legend, Paul Scholes, who stood out the most for Adam though.
“I learn something every time I’m on the same pitch as Paul Scholes,” he continued. “When you go up against him, you see how he knows where everybody else on the pitch is, and where the ball is coming before it comes to him. That gives him time on the ball and so many options. I hope he plays.”

So we shouldn't sign any players who admire Paul Scholes as a player? Our list of targets isn't going to be pretty damn short in that case.

Seriously, does it really matter who he supported as a lad? Ole Gunnar Solskeaar was famously a Liverpool fan when he was younger. Didn't stop him being giving his all for the Mancs.

And obviously, as others have said, there's the whole Carra/Fowler business as well.

i reckon its 7mill + 2 players, its whats the blackpool gazette is saying...

hopefully one of them is poulsen (incidently, we havent seen him in the pics have we?)
to be honest i think Poulsen is to slow for even them. Konchesky could maybe do a job, or they get two of our younger defenders/midfielders, hopefully only on loan.

I'm really excited to see what he can do, I reckon Kenny will have an extra special effect on him. Being a fellow Scot and having such a legend try hard to sign you in two windows, then playing under him for LFC... well if that's not going to bring out the best in Adam then I'm not sure what will. (maybe try special strength Iron-Bru or a particularly greasy black pudding fry up) It's not about who he's replacing in the starting 11, it's all about depth, competition and having players with different qualities to choose from.

Another target in the bag, onto the next.

I hope this brings about Miereles' end at your club. I really do.

I'd be more worried about the fact that your club has spent Ł50m and not plugged that gaping hole in centre midfield.

Hopefully Lucas gets less playing time now. He did well last year, but he was simply the best of a very bad bunch most of the time.

He still goes missing on more than the odd occasion and still gives away stupid fouls.

Plus he slows the play down considerably.

:) I think it's pretty much gone unnoticed by most.

Seems like some in this thread could benefit from a compressed air, cattle gun to the forehead.

As for Adam, looking forward to seeing him in a red shirt...bottom line is he adds something to the squad that we didn't have - an elite dead ball player with the ability to pick out passes most players don't see during open play.

Paired with the ball winning and metronome passing of Lucas in central midfield we could have an A+ pairing for the "2" in a 4-2-3-1.

In other words - Welcome Charlie!  Fried Mars bars are on me   ;D

I'd say Luis too, but, it can be very handy to have a good left-footed free kick taker. Gives us plenty of options. Go for goal or go for Andy's head

Nor does it have anything to do with anime, which I hope you know more about than football.

Your assertion that these signings are only acceptable because Dalglish is making them is such rubbish, I don't think anyone can take you seriously ever again.

I didn't bring anime into this. Or rather I didn't start a discussion about my ID. Stick to frothing about one thing at a time.

You've also misrepresented my position. I said because Dalglish has done so well and because we have the money now we question these buys less. If we bought Henderson for 16m with all the CMs we have on the books when Hodgson was in charge the forums would have been angry. You can deny it all you like but that is what would have happened. Adam, a good player, but the depth we have also makes the buy frivolous. Thank god it is relatively cheap though.

LOL @ not being taken seriously. Haha, I am dying inside. Good one.

I say what I say because I feel it is the truth. However, it is more than clear that a lot of people here just post to toe the line.

Very good signing. He fits perfect in a pass & move side.

This will mean 4-3-3 in my book, with fullbakcks providing width.
