As Mojo is a bar, though I'd post it here.  They've cancelled their live music program with immediate effect.

Need a fucking biometric scan, breath test and an anal probe just to get in there now though.

Shame that, although it's not the best venue, seen some decent gigs in there.

Hi friends.

I'm sure there's millions of these posts in this thread but seeing as pubs seem to to disappear on a weekly basis, though I'd throw a new one out.

20 of us (early to mid 30s) down to Liverpool on Friday morning for a stag weekend, staying at Hatters hostel in the city centre.
If anyone can be bothered, some helpful tips on where to bevvy during the day, the evening and perhaps even where to do the hot shoe shuffle.

If you can't be bothered replying I don't blame you!

Cheers

others might disagree but i'd stay around the dale street end and maybe go the bar and grill in the evning, then move along to the slug and letttuce later on, then onto the revolution matthew street, as for the day, your spoilt for choice. Im out on friday (might not happen now like), no doubt i'll notice 20 pissed up lads looking lost.

Youngie, you're best just having a wander arount town, to see what takes your fancy.

A lot of the places I would suggest that have late bars on the weekend don't necssariy have late bars mid week, or in some cases not even open midweek.

If it's good  pubs you want with good ale, then there's loads in Liverpool city centre.

Here's a PDF from the Liverpool camra site, to give you a good indication.

As mentioned before my mates just opened a new tequila bar, it's only small, underneath Santa chupitos

Me an the lads were out on the 13th last week the night before the Stoke game, an bumped into a couple of lads who had travelled over from Norway for the game, ended up getting split up after a few pints, if either of you are on here give us a shout.

Anyway, Bar Red is my new favourite at the minute, unbelievably easy to pull in there.

Was out in Liverpool on Saturday night and ended up in Santa Chuppitos, was fucking boss.

It's really small but had a great atmosphere and played good music. Will definitely be there again on Saturday.

Was in Mojo with me missus on Saturday night and suddenly became uncomfortably packed with a few groups of arseholes in there dancing on chairs etc. Without wanting to sound like a grumpy old duffer, I do hope its not starting to go down hill in there. Its always been a cracking place with some of the best music to be played anywhere, but like most decent places perhaps the word gets out and the scallies and knobheads start making an appearance.

Hopefully it was just a one-off.

Neither. The area is by Alma De Cuba is called St Peters Square, best part of town.
Incidently my mate has just opened a new bar, by the same people who have Santa Chupitos, it's called El Bandito, right next to Santas. Check it out.

Just to promote my mates place again....

Enough!  I love Chups, and I am sure El Bandito will be equally terrific, but stop spamming the thread mate.

Great night out on Friday, sly one in Chups early doors, some great bands and beer in Mello Mello and then a thoroughly unnecessary Old Fashioned in Chups before heading home.  I can reveal that beating Mancs is the perfect hangover cure though.

Ah well, helping a mate and that!

Bumper if it's on the same side as Hannah's

The other side has Fly in the Loaf, Magnet, The Flute and The Phil.

As VdM said reckon you'll mean Bumper.
