I know I'm not, I know that anybody I know who goes the game wouldn't be. They tell us nothing unless they are put into some perspective and properly analised. A bunch of stand alone comparison numbers with no context, worthless.

I'll see how he gets on on the pitch myself.

Comolli is.

But lets be fair, he doesnt have the final say on any transfers.
So he can have that info but if Kenny dont want him, it dont mean shit.

That's a bit ignorant. Comolli is an important member of LFC and like it or not, our approach is based at least partly on statistics. To say it don't 'mean shit' is wrong.

Somebody got up on the wrong side of bed today.

I just get fed up reading meaningless shite masquerading as important. Do you need any stats to tell you that Mascherano can tackle, that Rush could score or that Joe Cole gets tired quite quickly?

To post one dimensional statistics against players in generalised categories as though they are broadly comparible is just bollox, in my humble opinion, of course!

Cheer up you miserable bastard.

I'm very bloody happy about this signing, been watching him for a while. He's a very similiar in style defender to Aurelio except he's got pace and doesn't injure half as much. Which is exactly what we need in a reliable left back IMO.

His great pace will be an asset to us, cause it's a thing we've been really missing in our left backs (apart from Johnson) for a long time. None of Aurelio, Insua, Dossena, Riise etc were really pacey like this guy is. And he actually knows how to use it, both as recovery pace and for motoring up the field and putting a cross in.

So very good player, very good price, great deal.
I'm really hoping Sturridge busts out the wacky dip when he scores.

Of course you don't because we have all witnessed those with our own eyes. How many people on here have regularly watched Enrique in action? How many knew he was extremely solid defensively? Like I said those stats are not to be used to judge the overall quality of the player but more just to see how he compared to other players in his position from last year.

If stats are not your thing the bets thing to do is ignore them and let people who find them interesting discuss them. Acting like a bad bellend only derails the thread.

Yea definitely the best since Suarez.

The main thing being, like Suarez, I don't worry at all about him fitting into the side. Carroll Henderson and Downing and Adam still for me have to step up. But with Enrique I've just got 99.99% assurance that he will
deliver the goods from the first game. My cousins a Geordie so watched a lot of Newcastle games last season with him and he's just awesome. Im not one for stats but if he plays 36 games and was beaten by his man 9
times, then thats impressive no matter how you slice it.

Im a massive fan of Aurelio too and it says that much about Enrique that he should start over him when fit.

The squad looks so much stronger than when Kenny first came. Torres, Babel, and Jova out,
Suarez, Carroll, Henderson, Adam, Downing and Enrique in. If Aquilani stays and we can get Gerrard fit, it would be like having 8 new players that can all do a job since Kenny took over. Would be great if we could get a CB and maybe a third choice striker but as it looks like N'gog is staying and he is no longer burdened with the pressure of being the only replacement for Torres, he may come in useful and finally show some of the promise I thought he had 12 months ago.
As things stand, the squad is fairly solid (with the obvious CB problem) and pretty good for a side without European football. When Johnson and Gerrard come back from injury, a fully fit LFC squad will see the strongest bench we've had in years IMO.

Quite, people on here get very excited about macro statistics, but out of context (as they're presented) they're largely irrelevant.

"Somewhat" did you notice the use of that word? ;)

Also watched him for 2+ years for Newcastle (not on match of the day either) and he's really impressed me everytime.

Only 4 players I would have took out of Newcastle for this season where Carroll, Barton, Enrique and Nolan. 2 out of 4 ain't bad.
