Fair enough, he did have a brain fart every now and then but I don't think they were that regular. As I said, I think his other qualities fit the team to a tee at the time, and it allowed us to play some great football. Since Rafa left, Hodgson, Kenny then Rodgers came in, he stagnated a fair bit. The sweeper keeper abilities became redundant, and whilst his distribution was good, perhaps it didn't make up for the deficiencies that crept into his game. For now, Mignolet's a better shout - I'll agree with that. But Pepe was a world class keeper, at least once upon a time, and he was part of the best Liverpool side I've seen play football. Still irks that they won nothing and how quickly it fell apart just a few months after. Anyway...
