Canos will come on in the second half and get a goal.

Great to see Yesil score. Fucking horrible time he's had. I want him to succeed and do well so badly.

Haven't seen yesil since his injuries.

He's grown about three inches hasn't he?

Yesil looks really good. Imagine if he had progressed in his development instead of sitting in the treatment room these past 2 years.

I hope he makes it with us.

Yesil pretty sharp considering how much football he missed last 2 years.

Yesil is a very natural talent.  Was considered at Emre Can's level as a prospect, (if not better), when they were on the same youth teams.  Germany is just so deep now its tough to see a way for him to get back in.

Ends 0-4.

The second half didn't compare to the first but I suppose that was to be expected after that opening flurry.  A bit like our first team game against Arsenal last season, after you put so many past them at the beginning you're sort of OK with things slowing down a bit!

Ojo was Man of the Match, easily.  Said it at halftime but it's odd that someone whose main weakness was inconsistency has suddenly been so consistently good for us, going back even to last season.

Apparently Joe Allen is having a late fitness test, so perhaps Rossiter makes the bench if he isn't fit.

Jerome Sinclair has been named to the CL squad since Sturridge's injury and was training with the first team squad this week. Had his trouble with injuries last season but evidently still rated.

Second that. One of the best performances I've seen from him at any level.

Vigouroux done well also after a shaky start.

Missed the game but those comments on Ojo made me wonder whether he's had much chance to train with the first team? Think of Sterlings rise (yeah obvious comparison) and something clicked with him in terms of his consistency (which is a probably a culmination of many things clicking but a big part has to be attitude and confidence). Sterling clearly learnt a lot from players like Suarez and it would be nice to think that these types of things are filtering down to this talented bunch. It'd be great to see some of these lads to make the step up in the next few years.

Ojo has really progressed in the last 12 months or so. His versatility should help him get opportunities with the first team. Ojo, Wilson, Kent and Canos. Not short of talent on the wings.

Interested to see what order people would put those four in. I bet there's a lot of different opinions.

I think they've all got a chance but I'd currently say

It would be hard to choose between Wilson and Ojo for the first spot. They both have incredible talent but Ojo's physicality might put him with a better chance of making an appearance for the first team.

It's a difficult one to call. I'd think Wilson and Ojo are currently level then Kent and then Canos. Any one of them could make it though, just depends on who impresses in training and who takes their chance.

Those four, in any order, are really their four blue chip prospects (along with Rossiter).  When I rate prospects I usually give them a number grade (out of 10) and a letter grade (A-F). The number grade represents that, at their best, how great I think they will be. Leo Messi would be a 10, Paul Konchelsky would be a generous number 2. The letter grade represents how likely I feel they will reach their maximum potential (A is a sure thing, D/F is unlikely to reach their peak due to injury, inconsistent, off the field concerns, etc.)

I would be very curious to see how you guys Liverpool would rate Liverpool's prospects on that scale.

For example I might feel:

Wilson 8.0B
Ojo 8.5C
Canos 7.5C
Kent 6.5B

So I feel Ojo has a higher ceiling that Wilson but is not as likely to reach it because he isn't as finished as a product. Kent I feel will be a solid, albeit unspectacular pro. Canos is a wild card.

Something to that extent. Anyone else want to contribute?

Delighted to see how sharp Yesil looked. Early doors but he didn't look like a shadow on the player he was. He was just coming into some form before the first injury, after a fairly slow-ish start. Be good if he picked up from there. Think people underestimate just how much of a prospect he was considered because he wasn't tearing things up immediately over here.

Huge ask to get back to that now, but it'd be great. Kid was a natural goalscorer, and there's great value in the piss he could boil if he makes the bench ahead of Borini.
