Folks, if you are coming to Ruse on Monday for the Palace game, there may be the odd table if you arrive early enough ie by 5.30, otherwise I reckon you will be safe to get in as long as are with us no later 6pm. Cheers & lets hope that it is back in our hands by then (PRAY!!!!!!!!!!)

In London with a mate for the Palace game, what are the views like in Ruse if it's packed?

I'll be at the Euston Flyer tonight with the friend who introduced me to Liverpool Football club in 1988. He supports Crystal Palace now and he'll also be rooting for a Reds win.

The Rocket was crap btw, dodgy sound system and badly connected TV's, losing to Chelsea didn't fucking help neither.

Well I'd just like to say thanks to Tony and his staff at Ruse (first time in there). I started off at Norwood Junction (on the tiny chance of getting a spare haha) in the Wetherspoons and then found out nowhere was showing the game near the ground . So , I hopped on a train to London Bridge and got in Ruse about 15 minutes before kick-off.
Superb atmosphere with loads of singing (not quite as good as The Sandon or my local in Brighton ;) ) and it never took me longer than 2 minutes to get served even though the place was rammed. Super friendly and attentive barstaff , great music ,especially the old version of Poor Scouser Tommy  and flags all over.(you could have left the old version of We're Never Gonna Stop on though ;) )
Place was bouncing until ...well you know when ..but YNWA was put on and never felt prouder....Credit to everyone in there last night - staff and fans alike

Cheers once again Tony :scarf

There is a place on Great Queen Street at the Holborn end of Long Acre iirc, otherwise you could try Walkabout by the river at Temple which is big and busy with lots of screens but that will be full of all sorts.

For any regular Ruse go-ers we still have some table space for Sunday, let me know if you want to book a table. Will be a full house so please be in by 12.30 to be sure. Going to be a long 60 odd hours till then....

Thanks a lot mate. About time I should go to Ruse, lived in London for over two years but never been! I thought it might be a bit quieter for a League Cup game, cheers.

Just to let London Reds know that we still have space tomorrow. So it is a good night to do a first Champions League game at Ruse if you haven't been before.
We are also showing the West Brom game at 3pm on Saturday. www.ruse.uk.com

Bit disappointed at Ruse for the West Brom game, first time going there, loads of reds in and they lost the stream about 30 mins into the game and never got it back, no one seemed to know how to work the system, would've thought they would have a satellite system to guarantee the games would be shown.

Sorry Chris mate but that is rubbish. The fact that the game was on for the first half hour would suggest my staff knew exactly what they were doing. I was running a wedding and got a text from Ruse just before half time saying the system was down. I simulatenously got a text from our satellite company saying all their sites in the UK were down for all matches due to a systems failure.

I fowarded the text to my staff at Ruse. They had tried rebooting the system + broadband etc but it was out of their control so the decision was made to put on 5 Live. The satellite company didnt sort their problems out until well after 5pm.

Was no offence intended in my original post, this was just how it seemed to me from the patrons side of the bar.

I will try out Ruse again in the future and I'm sure there is a cracking atmosphere for the games. Nice to see so many reds in London :)
