New Kits 2008-2009
« on: January 9, 2008, 12:26:19 am »

I can confirm our new kits for the 2008-2009 season are:

Home (Scarlet Red) with the adidas in the centerbelow the neckline and a kit similar to our current home kit. However, there is NO collar and there is a red/white croatia style design inside the yokit on the where the sizing is located with THIS IS ANFIELD and the liverbird. Its a very basic kit and v-neck with the adidas climacool technology also in red with small circles running down the sides on both sides of your sides.

There is also a yellow liverbird with THIS IS ANFIELD at the back, just below the neck line with the kit number below.

Carlsberg are still our sponsors in white. Adidas Stripes end 5 inch's before the end of the sleeves in white. The "croatia" style design inside the shirt collar area will defintely be a winner with most of you!

AWAY KIT (Grey) is a dull copy of our famous mid 80's candy/crown paints kit with Carlsberg in white and a duller grey with square box patterns across the entire kit. Its a different material from the home kit. It will be attractive to some, ugly to others. Stripes down the slEeve are RED and the neckline is red/grey round neck style jersey. Adidas in red in the center.

3RD KIT (SAGE Green): Another copy of sorts from our early 90's adidas kit with 3 stripes down the sleeve in white instead (as compared to the verticle style stripes of the old 90's kit), adidas in the center, carlsberg in white and a BLACK collar. Its very very simple looking so its also either going to appeal to you or it isnt. Material is alot closer to the home kit.

Conclusion: It will be nice to have something new but honestly, I still love our current home kit. I liked the away kit for a whole 30 seconds but then realized it was nothing like the grey adidas kit we had in 87-89 which was superior in quality and looks....The 3rd kit is....horrible to me..but, maybe, attractive to others.

If I get the call up from Rafa, i'll refuse to play in sage green.
Johnny Sack: 200 grand for insulting my wife. What's next, Carmine, he gets to fuck her for a million?

Carmine: He wants to fuck her?

Johnny Sack: I'm making a point.

I can confirm that next season much like this, I'll be wearing a big warm fuckin North Face black bubble jacket with optional gloves. I may also smile as I glance over to Charles from Dorset wearing his new grey away shirt over his new training sweater freezing his bollocks off on a cold December Sat afternoon (fuck, who am I kiddin) Sunday early kickoff!

Moan, winge, fuckin gripe, bah humbug.........!

If as the poster reports though the collar has gone off the home shirt I'll be chuffed, I like the current one apart from that fuckin daft flappy collar! Apart from that, love the Adidas gear!

Very simple and basic. The Sage green 3rd kit has a black collar thats firmer than our current home kit collar and not as nice as the old sage green adidas kits from the early 90's...material isn't as comfy as well.

The home and away kits are round necks...away grey kit is a 50/50 for me; you either like it or you don't...its trying to look like our 87 away kit but darker grey....

To be honest i think adidas would have some sort of legal contract to prevent this.

Personally I find it hard to believe that our kits have been designed for next season, even more so theres been a kit launch so early with no media coverage what so ever.

But hey, I could well be wrong

Could be true. Dont forget someone said the same thing last year, and they were right
"You have to admire animals. Hamster spun round in a wheel three times bigger than him and abruptly lands on his back. Then just gets up and carries on as if nothing happened! If that was a human he'd be helicoptered to hospital, off work for 6 months have back issues for 20 years and then start legal proceedings against the wheels owner"

Praying that by some fluke or miricle they look much better than they sound. Still gutted to lose current kits to be honest, although I take above point that away kit is a little dull.

If true (no offence, I'm sure it probably is) then ...  :'( :'(

Are they comparable in anyway to the Nike kits we see. Hard to describe but the United Arsenal kits seem to 'hang?' nicer, if you know what i mean. But as long as it's red and not too busy I'll be happy.

hhmmm, a unique shift of emphasis from our recent adoption of green carslberg logo's on the away kit, but with that said I remember last seasons yellow away kit was templated with a red logo officially by adidas, but for some reason the colour was changed to green. some people thought it may be part of the terms of contractual agreement with carlsberg for our away kit to adopt the natural carslberg colour on the logo.

As long as Liverpool still have the Garlsberg logo they will not win the league. If u watch this feww weeks performance u can see that the players tends to get drunk during the game with their passing. So please do change the logo to Pepsi or even better to gatorade so they will have the energy to play.
The second is that we travel to Fergusons office before the season start and let him set up everything. So we can take it from there.

Sorry for that.

The home kit has a V-ish looking neckline..the away kit is a round neck style. The 3rd kit has a collar.

Its not as ugly as the 93 or 94 V-NECK style adidas home kit we had if you remember...it was made from a mesh material.

No worries; imagine the croatia flag which is in squares of red and white.

Now if you look at the shirt straight on, imagine where the sizing and the "made in...." is located in the shirt which lies inside the shirt. The entire INSIDE of the v-neck line is in that croatian style red and white with THIS IS ANFIELD and the Liverbird ....don't know if that makes any sense...
