I think he'll do well. Starting at the bottom and working his way up is a good idea. Hope he does do well, good luck Tony.

Yeah good luck to him, he's a top man.

But how can anyone enter this poll?

Who knows how he'll turn out, but like Mirra says, it's good to see someone work his way from the lower leagues, eh Bryan Robson? (and others).

I hope that he makes a good manager. He's been my fave non-Liverpool player in England, loved his workrate in matches. Most southern European players should watch some old tapes to see how to play without whining about little scratches and injuries.

His quotes are hilarious a few days ago about how's going to get them out of trouble. :lmao

Another get stuck in and get at them British manager staining the cultured La Liga.

Did La Liga not learn anything from Moyes and Neville's awful stints there.

"Since its purchase by the sheikh of Abu Dhabi, Manchester City has managed to cheat its way into the top echelon of European football and create a global, immensely profitable football empire, ignoring rules along the way. The club's newfound glory is rooted in lies."

Strange to look at the quotes respecting him as a great ex-player, and a decade later just absolute disdain and utter hilarity.

He was a good player, but I really can't understand this move he has made. It just seems totally bizarre does he even speak Spanish?

He managed in Azerbaijan for years.

I don't think he spoke the local language there.

He's had a really odd coaching career with the places he has ended up at,but at least he ventured outside the comfort zone of England post playing career.

I like Tony Adams.

When he came out and admitted he was an alcoholic he changed his life.  He discovered piano playing, books, and culture in general.

It takes immense strength of character to change your life like that.

Respect to him.
“Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
“Generosity always pays off. Generosity in your effort, in your work, in your kindness, in the way you look after people and take care of people. In the long run, if you are generous with a heart, and with humanity, it always pays off.”

I've always had time for Adams, not sure what it is but I see a lot of sadness behind his eyes. I know he's had issues in the past but he seems like a good bloke and was one hell of a player. I wish him well.

No, that actually happened. He even got a song out of it:

Tony Adam's magic,
He's got a magic knob
And when he saw Caprice,
He stuck it in her gob,
He stuck it up her f***y,
He stuck it up her bum,
And when he went down Shite Hart Lane,
He ****ed Glenn Hoddle's mum.

Big fan of Adams...monumental player, hard as tungsten nails...took a lot of courage to publicly come out as he did - when it wasn't so fashionable - and face up to and defeat his demons....his biography 'Addicted' is an excellent read, a document of a now bygone era in English football and unflinching in his honesty as he details his alcoholism. A Good man, I hope he does well in Spain.
They have life in them, they have humour, they're arrogant, they're cocky and they're proud. And that's what I want my team to be.

When I was a kid, I used to go to Arsenal to watch Tony Adams. Not sure what that said about Arsenal, and how god awful boring we were, but every game he would run the show, he'd even referee the game and officials often looked at him to see if it's offside before raising their flag.
Starts at home against Celta Vigo tonight, 7:45. Would be great if he does better than Neville and Moysie, a couple of draws should be enough.

Good luck to him, seems like a nigh on impossible task though to save them. 1-0 down already tonight too.

Out of curiosity, has anyone in England topped his record of captaining 4 league winning teams? I know Terry's equalled it (will he have 5 this season even though he hasn't played?) and I think Keane was captain of 4 of the Man Utd winning teams (99, 00, 01, 03).

Did any of our lads captain more than 4? Or anyone from a different team even?

If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

I bet Tony Adams had to log in to Fifa 17 quickly to check the positions of his players before picking the squad.
Then in the midddle out pops a smiling glen johnson pulling up his jersey to reveal a t-shirt of suarez with a text saying. "OUR SUAREZ IS A FRIEND TO ALL COLOURS!"
