Nobody else playing this?

Caught up a few days ago, easily my favourite game of the year so far. Has a lot of problems and the dialogue is a little clunky, but I've been completely engrossed by it

Got a fantastic soundtrack as well, original and licensed.

Can't recommend it highly enough, episode 4 ended with a gigantic bang, and I can't stop thinking about it. Genuinely the best time I've had with a game for years. You just sit back and let it take you where it wants, and I've loved nearly every moment. People who think minimal input games don't have a place in the industry are crazy.

Bear in mind that it just gets better and better as it goes, so the first half hour and first episode aren't completely representative of the quality of the overall experience.

I implore you to at least look into it (try and avoid spoilers though, its completely story and character-driven)

I'm just watching it on YouTube, and I am intrigued by it. Probably won't bother to play it but will keep watching.

Still watching the Let's Play videos for this, on the last episode now.

People playing always infuriate me. The one I'm watching now is narrated by this girl who stumbles over every sodding line she reads from Max's texts or emails...still, I'm getting to see it for free so cheeky to moan about it.

I can't really see what advantages playing it has over watching, other than making your own choices every so often.

Surely you could say that about most games?

Well to a point, but I mean there's very little in the way of actual gameplay, it's more the 'interactive movie' type of thing - and if you do make a mistake, you just rewind it anyway.

Before I had a 360 or PS3 I watched Red Dead Redemption on youtube, just a film of all the cut scenes spliced together. It was great to see but when I got the game a couple of years later there was a lot to do in it that you miss just watching the story. There isn't much beyond the actual story in a game like Life is Strange.
