You might pop in a bit more often to the year in music thread too - enjoyed reading your list last week!  :wave

Ha!  I can't keep up with that thread.  I'm weirdly averse to new things until I'm suddenly not, usually after fully digesting the stuff I liked from the year before. Also, I'm deeply cynical about the almost constant 'great record' updates (to a fault), especially with new output from bands or artists I like. About nine months into the year, I shed my curmudgeonly carapace and let the new stuff in. :)

As much as I would love the year in music thread to reflect my frozen, unfeeling heart, I wouldn't want you guys to stop the love-fest on my account :)

Great thread and top work from Chip Evans (I changed a couple of mine a week or so before the deadline, so they may not have made ths list).

Glad Bowie won it - some great songwriting and musicianship on that disc. However, it's not an album I can just throw on - more like a special event that has to be planned in advance.

Pleased to find that six of my top 12 featured female singers or female-led bands. Not sure what happened to the overall list to only have one in the top 20. An anomaly I'm sure.

Anyway, it's hard finding time to catch up on everything, may need to organise a few road trips this year.

Two Thee Oh Sees efforts in there. You'll fit in well in the music threads mate! Well in.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.
