Nice to see Waterfall by Atlantic Ocean getting a mention. What Time is Love by The KLF was a good 'un. Insomnia by Faithless is the winner for me though.

The Prodigy - Voodoo People

Listened to my Clubland Vol 1 CD a few weeks ago- well got me in the mood to be going out! Some absolutle shockers on there- Logical Song Anyone?- but some great dance tunes to. Reminded me of being 16- just done me GCSE's and goin out to Southport to Infinity (now Havana) and Code- we never got in anywhere in town! It was 2002- not the 90's but I wasnt really in to dance music in that decade! :P

Heres a little taster:

In My Eyes- Milk Inc
Beautiful- Matt Deary
Set You Free- N Trance
Lover- Rachael MacFarlane (best dance song ever!)

I also really used to like a song called 'Warrior'- used to go "Heres comes your warrior! hes letting you know!" Quality!

Also a song called "It's over now"- which used to be on in The George in Crosby all the flaming time- Hightown Phil will know it! :D

Big ang - Its over now ???

Sash is Eurodance though isn't it?
Some weird italian producer who does loads of cheesy dance stuff , like La Cream etc etc.
As for the 90's I don't really remember alot of great tunes from that era .. unsure of Dimitri from Paris - Night at the playboy mansion which is a fantastic funky house/disco album .. and so many more.

Ahh feck it .. i'll contribute more if someone starts a best dance tune since 2000 thread ;D

Them 2 particular tunes i used to love at the time, not gonna deny that just cos others think they're crap...
Admittedly anything else Sash did was crap, but always liked them 2, in my youth.

Absolutely right mate! Music is 100% subjective, loads of stuff I think is top notch would more than likely make others hurl, especially old people like MichaelA :D

Anyway, as I was saying. The sash stuff is still fucking shite though ;D He should be hung for crimes against music and for having a name far to close to the god like Sasha.

I was just looking trough a few of my singles last night.

And mentioned stuff that no one had mentioned before.
If I should name my favorite dance album of all time it has to be Leftism, I had it in my Top 20 albums as well if I do remember correctly ;)

But of those 5 mentioned DJ Jean - The Launch is my favorite.

Quality bloke. His old man owns (or used to own) Turnmills, which is probably the scariest club on earth! He is quite tall as well :D

Quote
Dj sneak

Only time I have seen him was at The End in the late, late 90's. Had the place rumbling with some pretty funky stuff whilst seeminly rolling spliffs non stop for 2 hours! Brilliant night, awesome club. Always been a fan of smaller places and this is pretty small, but with an absolutely amazing sound system. You can sit on the base bins as theres nowhere else to put them!

If I should name my favorite dance album of all time it has to be Leftism, I had it in my Top 20 albums as well if I do remember correctly ;)

You are redeemed Mr Code. ;)

Used to be there loads watching bands in the mid to late 80's.  Saw loads of Psychobilly gigs there. King Kurt, Guana Batz, meteors Ect.

Heard it turned into a big dance venue but never managed to get there ever again.  Is it there now i wonder?

Started going to Quadrant park and legends in Warrington for my Rave needs and as someone said earlier in the thread, saving all week to buy an E.

Those were the days :'(

The best quote I have ever heard and still use to this day was from him!   Was years ago, me n me mate were shall we say reasonably intoxicated! went to said counter asked for a couple of cans of pop only to be presented with the, now famous line ...................... "Two fridges down mate"  ;D  Well that was it!  for the next umpteen years of clubbing, anytime anyone asked us how we were feeling all they got was a "two fridges down"  I guess you had to be there but you can work it out! Happy days!  ;D
