Hardly, how on earth has Sterling got a run on him so far ahead. That's their big tactic, quick move down the flanks and hit across the goal. We don't seem to have an answer for it.

They're way way quicker than us at the back .. its a teeny tiny problem

Some bad decisions but in a tough match to ref which seem like they've kind of evened themselves out - Toure could have been sent off, Wijnaldium unlucky not to have a penalty, but Milner on Sterling looks like he came straight through the back of him and got nowhere near the ball. The ball did look a bit behind Sterling but my goodness me that could very easily have been a penalty and a red, we definitely can't complain about the ref for once.

We've definitely come back into it and, overall, I think we've had the better of the chances, it's surprising that it's 0-0 given the situations both teams have been in. Coutinho looks more like himself again, which is nice to see.

All set up for a cracking, utterly nerve-shredding second half.

3 penalties all missed. State of these refs.

These commentators are hilarious though. Not Otamendi's fault because he was running behind him and inadvertent contact. Never knew contact couldn't be accidental!

Aguero diving around too.

Can't believe they are booing Milner. Brought Championships to the club. Embarrassing.

Whats happened to Coutinho, because he seems like he can't get with the pace of the game.

Lacking confidence and still looks a little rusty but this is exactly the sort of game he could set alight with a moment of magic.

Got better as the game went on.. hopefully a trend which continues into the 2nd half.

Penalty & 2nd yellow for Toure for his foul on Gini.

They're fouling the fuck out of us...

Did any of our players even appeal for it though? I didn't see anyone put their hand up for it, which I find bizarre. We need to get a bit smarter there, everyone else does it.

Agree fully.. similarly, Can just got up after being kung-fu kicked by Toured, which nearly took his head off.. but the young German just got up straight away.. a bit smarter and there would have been more pressure on the twat of a ref to maybe give more than a yellow..

Firmino has been working very hard. Grew into the game.

Also Bobby has only been involved in one training session this week, so he's bound to be a bit rusty.

I still think we could nick this, though a bit concerned with Matip being on a yellow card, it is so tricky for the defenders as the pitch is so slippey. I hope we give Klavan a new pair of boots though, he's falling over too often.

can is just too honest, if there is such a thing

coutinho, yes he's not been outstanding, but his presence is keeping fernandinho on check, also giving us an opportunity to have a bit of magic later on when man city players tire.... yes the opportunity may be small, but it's worth keeping him on for the time being for that. it's great we have origi to bring on if needed anytime.

That was never in a million years a penalty on Mane. Very unlucky for him, that his foot knocked into the player behind as he was winding up to shoot, but you can't give a penalty for the attacker accidentally kicking the defender, for goodness sake.

Two pens in that half, one each.

Understand how he didnt give the one on Sterling as you only see the foot connection in slow motion and realtime it looked like he missed.
But Otamendi steps in the line of Mane, so clearly a pen.

Wonder why Coutinho seems so off form. I hope he wasn't rushed back before he was ready. That chance he had from the edge of the box, quite disappointed he didn't even get it on target for somebody of his ability

Ref has been crap.

City have been getting in behind our full backs and putting balls across far too often.

We've created a few chances, but rode our luck a bit as well.  Need to step it up a bit in the second half.
