Liverpool 3-1 Newcastle: Full time.....
« on: December 30, 2011, 09:41:21 pm »
END - MOTM - Bellamy/Gerrard. Liverpool a lot lot better when Gerrard came on for Adam. I think Gerrard should start for Adam in the future to be honest. Gutierrez and Stevie swapping shirts....looks like Stevie is his hero :P

That was very satisfying. Coming back from a goal down, Gerrard with a goal and we pressed the fuck out of them.  Up to fifth, babies.

A good win. I can safely say that we’re a much better side than Newcastle.

Gerrard is simply immense, no ifs or maybes, he’s a just superb. If he stays fit we have the player to get us 4th. If he stays fit we have a striker who can feed off his deliveries – Carroll was so involved when he came on and was unlucky not to score.

Bellamy was great as well and showed again what a great signing he’s been.

Nice to win and win well.

Skrtel's clearance the turning point.

The run Gerrard made for that goal. Top notch and those were the ones we were missing. Well in! Very very very chuffed with the performance!  :wave

I love Craig Bellamy.

I love Steven Gerrard.

And fucking hell do I love Martin Skrtel. If he hadn't got that, it'd have been 2-2 and the match could've gone either way. He's won the match for us on his own IMO.

I honestly think a line-up of Gerrard, Henderson and Spearing in a 3 man midfield (or two if Gerrard/Henderson plays as a CAM) is the way to go in the future.

I hope everybody can see what Andy Carroll can become for us with some good service. Lacking alot of confidence at the minute and who wouldnt be with all the shit surrounding him. But with a partner up top and some decent delivery for a change I can see him banging in the goals in the future. Turns out we needed Stevie to prove it for us.

Should have been Skrtel.

Second half was great. Special mention to Agger, Enrique, Spearing and of course Gerrard. Downing looked a little more promising tonight as well.

Always thought Gerrard would be the player to link up best with Carroll. Be interesting how that develops.

Always said once Gerrard's playing alongside Carroll the big Geordie will start scoring. If Carroll had his best form whilst being supplied by Joey Barton, imagine how good he'll play with a fully fit Gerrard week in week out.
