He looks so comfortable in that company I hope we give him plenty of games this season. I would prefer to see him both him and Raheem sharing one position in the team this season than give gametime to the likes of Downing or Assaidi who haven't shown any greater level of ability or desire than these two kids.

He rarely gives the ball  away or runs aimlessly with it and all this at such a young age.

This is the point. Deserves game time.

Note to the rest of the league: Catch this lad if you can in the next couple of years.

When he matures and settles properly into the first team he's gonna take some stopping.

It's very true. He plays with a mature head.  Coaches deserve credit as well.

Still a long way to go for Ibe but he's an incredibly exciting prospect, seems to have all the fundamentals needed to become a top-class player as well as a good head on his shoulders.  That money we paid Wycombe for a 16-year-old looks to have been a great bit of business by us, he's one of those youngsters, like Sterling, who gives you genuine optimism that he can make it at Liverpool.

I am looking forward to him breaking into the first team this season. Him and Sterling have already formed a camaraderie and they are 2 of the best we have. Such a humble lad as well.

If he was African we'd be questioning the validity of his passport.

Not only does he look far more developed than his age suggests, he plays that way too.

To steal a Brendan-ism, he looks hungry. As does Sterling. And that, coupled with the fearlessness of youth, is what immediately sets them apart from the likes of Downing.

No need to be a Dick, I'm Nigerian. Femi and Ibe are names from different regions you usually don't get people with names from both sides. You kind always get the name from where your Dad is from.

Oh and there is no language called "Nigerian".

Me and a few of the lads were having a discussion over who'll make the full breakthrough into the first team first, Ibe or Sterling and a lot of us agreed that it'll probably be Ibe.

Sterling's had more game time in the first team and he's took the chance by the balls and impressed more often than not, but IMO, Ibe just has the build and the maturity in his play at such a young age that he'd be able to cement a place in that first team before Sterling does.

We're lucky to have two fantastic young players like that coming through at the same time.

Excited by this player. Another talent for us, along with Sterling and Wisdom. I'd rather see them play and learn than having to watch Skrtel, Assaidi, Downing, etc struggle again. Hope that Rodgers feels the same way, but I think he does.

Think he potentially may have a better ability to play on the right hand side than Sterling come a few years. His strength, pace and power will give him the ability to skin defenders for days.

The guy is a tank - he gets past the defender then just holds them at bay with one arm whilst deciding which player to cut it back to in the area. Immense strength for a 17yr old.

He is exactly one year younger than Raheem and so far they have followed nearly the exact same career progression.

Knew someone would say that ;D

What I mean is, IMO, Ibe has more potential and a better build to become a regular starter whereas Sterling will get more gametime from the bench I reckon.

As I say though, we're incredibly lucky to have both players coming through, and we'll be set for years which starts games for us more regularly.
