Goals from toe-pokes are a bit of an empty experience. But as empty experiences go, it was one of the best.

Good finish, happy that he's back. Should do his confidence the world of good. Whopper Waddle on ESPN wouldn't stop going on about how it was a toe-poke. Fucking hell, it was but it was actually a very appropriate, controlled finish. I can't listen to most English commentary these days without it pissing me off.

After Henderson's second Waddle sounded like he was halfway through shovelling a pie down his grid.

Goals from toe-pokes are a bit of an empty experience. But as empty experiences go, it was one of the best.

I remember when Fat Ronaldo scored one for Brazil in the World Cup, and everyone spent days talking about how it was a genius moment of improvisation, and how 'only the very best can improvise a shot like that'.

I was delighted he was back in training, but I didn't expect him to feature in this game so I was positively surprised to see him come on (or even be on the bench). Not only that, he also managed to score mere seconds after coming on and I have to say, in an evening full of lovely play and goals, that was my favorite goal. He had a lot of bad luck this season and this goal was well deserved. And watching the replay, you can see how well he made space for himself and the finish was not too shabby  8)

Made up he got a goal today.  Hopefully do his confidence the world of good.  A few more appearances until the seasons out and another pre-season under his belt and hopefully he can hit the ground running next year.

Anything been made of his celebration in the media yet?  They're bound to twist it into something Suarez related!

He works hard and is a good team player.  Glad to see him get a goal.

Bit unfair to say 'it was just a toe poke'. Lad knew how he would get it in - and did it.

His greatest problem is getting the service. He's never going to do much if he picks the ball up outside the box with a defence in front of him. Different striker to Suarez and Sturridge, don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.

Yep. It's "just a toe poke". Put only inches off right between two defenders and the keeper closing the height. A simple one, really, surely anyone can do that...

Dumb commentators. I replayed this many times and was amazed of how accurately the shot was placed. Sometimes a toe poke is the right decision. I don't know if luck had anything to do with this, but it was precise.

Delighted for the lad, was a very good finish. As many have said he has excellent movement. A lot of his runs were missed at the beginning of the season and I feel with Coutinho in the side he will get a lot more chances in front of goal.

Hope he stays injury free, he has been very unfortunate this year.

Historically, it just takes a striker one of them scruffy/toe-poke goals to get things going for them.

Here's to many more scruffy/toe-poke goals goals.

And others, of course!

Probably celebrated Fabio's goal more than all the others today. Don't know what it is about the lad, but I've warmed to him very quickly. Has a great attitude, is clearly passionate, and it's great to see him back playing, so here's to many more in a red shirt!

We haven't seen a lot of Fabio but it's clear his movement is very good. He searches out space and is willing to take chances on runs - something we have far more of in the squad now than a year ago.

I did the same, properly cheered as I was made up for him. My other celebrations were more subdued fist pumps (no sniggering), but when Fabio scored I roared my pleasure.

Absolutely chuffed for the lad. Looking at his face when he scored you could see the emotion, the relief, the happiness that he done it finally in the league after such a harrowing injury filled season. Really hope the lad does well over the rest of this season and the next few years, so that we can have a forward line of depth and quality with different goal scoring abilities.

Well done fabio mate please continue!

Was a very good poacher's goal that. His movement to create the space was great, he just pulls of the CB's at the last moment and it is something we lack in the penalty area.
