He put some Ajax kid in early retirement the other year didn't he. Poor lad is probably still receiving therapy for it.

I think Ojo has the potential to be a very good player. It's time that he started to force his way onto more games.

Yeah he did. He made sure he did his defensive duties well and as a result, got an assist out of it. Still really finding his feet, but once he does, the magic will start flowing.

he looks pretty confident and can move the ball at speed across the park - not quite dribbling but certainly shifting play I like him, there is something about the lowness of his socks like

All these starts are just Klopp's way of teasing us. Ojo is not even 20 yet. If he fulfilled his full potential, Ojo will become a big player for us

Would it be wrong of me to say he looks like John Barnes?

It's his thighs…

He could probably do with a slightly tighter pair of shorts though.

Athletically, he and Origi look like they were born to be both fast and strong.

Particularly with Origi, I wonder what regime they're on to make sure that they can be that bulky without losing mobility.

Thank fuck I wasn't the only person to think that.

He's still far from ready to be starting in the first team, needs to be a bit more direct in his play, at the moment it seems like his touches get him into space so he can slow the game down and assess his options.  When he learns to use that first touch to be more attacking he'll be almost unstoppable.  A lot of the time he ends up checking back into midfield, getting some space and then running at people.

Wouldn't be surprised if his instructions in those situations where he checks back or slows down - are just that.  Learn and let the senior level game come to you.

That is because he is a midfielder in his mind. His instinct isn't to attack the box. I think he is a fine player, but not a forward. He will most likely be a midfielder more of a number 8, when he finally settles in to a position.

I'm probably alone in thinking that a goal scored after a player dribbles by a couple of defenders shouldn't have an assist given to anyone.

Plus it wasn't much of a pass, the defender's clearance bounced off him.  Puts him ahead of Sterling for league assists though, so it counts for me.

Likewise, footballers, especially centre backs who pull their socks over their knees are clearly shit. See Fumes Mori for further details.

I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

There was a fantastic run and throughball which put Sturridge through for a chip at Swansea (went wide). Real potential.
