I was in Zurich Airport the day before the Atletico away game & my plane had been delayed hours so went to one of these open bars within the concourse. I spotted someone looking just like Gillett, sitting in a lounge area with laptop & files by his side, and after staring over at him a bit I went over to speak to him.
As I got nearer, he saw me coming and by now I'm positive it's him, but when I said politely, "excuse me, is your name George Gillett", he shook his head and said no, then quickly excused himself, gathered up his papers smartish & moved away.
I went back to the bar but watched him, he had gone into a shop then after a few minutes he shot off down one of the corridors. There was a flight to Madrid about an hour later and I'm sure that's where he was headed because he was at the game the following night.
I'm not the biggest & ugliest & he could hardly have been safer, sat in the middle of a Swiss Airport but the sh*thouse did not want to identify himself for fear of me going off on one I suppose. I bet this type of thing has happened a few times & in the Crowne Plaza he couldn't escape so easily and from the "interview" he certainly sounded ill at ease with the attention. I like to think that it just goes to show to him he is now a public figure recognisable anywhere in the world & whether he likes it or not, he's bitten off more than he can chew.
