Trying to choose between the amazon fire stick and chromecast?

The amazon fire stick atm looks better, but has anyone tried their instant streaming service?

Use it on my iPad.

Works fine.

Pre ordered the fire stick. Hopefully I'll use it as much as my chromecast.

Been using Showbox and HD Cinema recently but they seem to have stopped supporting Chromecast?

Anybody else found this? I've got the Showbox version where they have changed the logo from the eye.

Download an app called GrowBox. Bypasses the need to download their MX player thing.

This.

This is how I got working.

1)Uninstall Showbox
2)Uninstall MX Player
3)Install Showbox
4)Install Growbox
5)Select media and choose external player

Should work fine.

Personally I find myself using HDCinema more now anyway.

you can stream it from your iphone if you have the live streaming app installed, you'll see the chromecast icon before you select a channel

Not the standard Chromecast but the Chromecast Audio, but it has a audio jack output.  Works a treat.

Anybody use the audiocast and have a problem with it only working through one speaker? Tried reseting everything but just cannot get it to work through both.

That seems strange. Do you have the same problem when using other devices? This might be a silly question, but are the cables well inserted in the sockets (both in the speakers and the device you're using)? I had the same problem after moving the speakers around once and one of the cables was slightly off.

After more investigating I realised its the speakers problem not the audio cast. Thanks anyway

Whats the wireless screen mirroring like these days?

When these first came out i mirrored my chrome to my chromecast on my TV as I was streaming footy but it was so choppy!

Has there been any advances in this tech?

Not that clued up really, but just got one of these. Got it mainly for the odd stuff we watch on LFC Go, but early impression is that it’s not that iPhone friendly and I maybe should’ve got an Apple TV streamer instead? Any decent apps anyone can recommend that work with the iPhone? Thanks.

So bought a Chrome cast for my new place the other day, had Talk Talk fire installed and the thing wont connect to the WIFI even though other devices haven't had any problems. Anyone know the quick fix to this issue?
