This is why it was strange to see posters stating that they didn't care if we went out of the FA cup (weirdos but there we go) as we'd have less fixtures to arrange and could concentrate on the league.  When in reality having no fixture for two 2 week periods in the run in may have the same impact as having 2/3 games per week, given how it can affect momentum etc.

At the end of the day, it will all depend on the outcome of the games whether people say a possible two-week-break was a good thing. We win and it's "Yeah, they had enough time to prepare for the match". We lose and it's "We lost all our momentum". The same thing applies to a possible fixture-congestion. We win and it's "Great, they kept the momentum and carried it over from the first game". We lose and it's "Oh, the players looked tired. You can't play twice in five days." It's impossible to know in advance how either case will impact on the performance of the team and the focus should be on winning games and not how much time there is between them...

When is the re-arrangement likely to take place?

Like when will the clubs decide on a date?

15 days rest for Man U then.

Heard some say that's too much rest, but if we can get get out of Southampton with 3 points, might be good to get the group together, and prepare massively a charge on the final 10 games of the season.

Negative to have two games so close perhaps.

That they are both at home should help.

Hardly a negative.

It's bullshit we aren't in any competitons but still have to play a game 4 days apart.

Oh come on - other clubs have far more demanding schedules than another game 4 days after Sunderland at home
If we can't handle that we don't deserve to do well in this league; it'll be fine

There are internationals on the 5th so a 10 day break for us. Man U play West Brom away on the 8th which isn't ideal for them.

Was bound to happen with a 2 week break coming up.

At least both Sunderland and Spurs are at home.
