I watched 2 documentaries recently that I quite liked.
One is Into the Abyss. Here is the IMDB link for it
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1972663/Basically, the film asks the question of morality of death penalty. And it does so by trying its best not to be biased, although you could still see some evidence for the bias of the director. At the very start, he already tells where he stands, and also, he interviews 2-3 people who are of the same opinion as the director is. However, this view is appropriately balanced with just 1 opposite view. And that view is only voiced once, but otherwise, by watching the film, you get the opposing view anyway. I am trying my best not to spoil anything here. I am torn after watching this documentary. As a person who has not thankfully lost anybody to violent crime, I can sit and be humanistic about the criminals deserving (!) death penalty, however, I may change my mind if I were to lose my family to such crimes. Tough question. And the film demonstrates it as such. Some of these criminals...
The second one is Guilty Except for Insanity. Here is the IMDB link for it

The Oregon State Hospital and its real (criminally insane) patients are the focus of this film. It turns out, sometimes, only crime will get you help if you have mental problems. And once you get in this Hospital, then, you may stay there forever...
