Boxing day 87 throwback.

Anyone remember this? I remember hoping and praying that the news would have our goals on, even though it was a lottery, because we didnt have match of the day at the time to show highlights like today.

Someones uploaded this footage on youtube, what a goal by McMahon!

John Barnes made it all look so easy didn't he
I'm really looking forward to the future. People can say it's going to be grim if they want but i'm a Liverpool fan...and I don't fucking believe them.

Magic. Beardsley to Barnes, devastating.
We are Liverpool!

Well he was the most "accurate" player in the league.

I just loved that kit by the way. Got it for Christmas the day before that match...

I moved from Liverpool to oxford in September 1987(not to go to the uni! The poly in fact). Imagine my joy when that game was scheduled to be on Boxing day..when I was back in Liverpool...
Went to the manor a few times over the years..utter shithole but a loveable one
