Big Jurgen's got this.  At this point I'd back him if he chose to re-sign Istvan Kozma.  Thought I should clarify!

We Need a strong team, we fielded a strong side against derby so it would make no sense to field a weak team here.

Klopp is sweating and slaving in the kitchen like a devilled dinner lady possessed by the ghost of a 17th century ship’s cook. Working the fag in his mouth like a robber on a rope, he peels his way through a tonne of manky Kind Edward’s. His left and right shovels are wet and dripping with the stinking juice of root flesh. The pile is never ending, and with every King slain, his blood is ratcheted up a few Celsius more. He skins with a switch, jus-a-like his daddy taught him. When he’s finally finished, he drags his massive frame over to the hob. Flicking his cig into the rings to light them, he boils a massive pan of water. He effortlessly and gently palms the sodden clods of potato into the swirling deep. Setting himself down on a stool, his gut takes a keg of Pale while he waits for the simple cellular structure of the tatties to be broken down by the frantic broth. Once tender, he drains the pan. The potatoes lie limp and helpless, encased on all sides by cast iron. Almost obliterated, the steaming lump seems to yearn to be finally put out of its misery. Klopp untangles the medieval masher that hangs above him, and carefully but with unimaginable force brings it down on the pathetic starchy nonsense. Klopp throws open his maw, “Who’s for Spudssssssss!!! Hahahahhahah!”.

Great to see that Ings is likely to play in this game, this will be a close game with both teams rumored to be fielding weakened sides but I think will edge it 2-1.

I don't think games are banned in there, the problem is finding the television.

Interesting to hear that Grujic and Ejaria are playing. Quite pleased about that. Also kinda hoping we see a diamond type shape too as one or two have mentioned. Makes some sense to me, and it's not that much of a change in shape... it pairs Sturridge with Origi which has looked good at times, with either Ings or Wino in behind and in the middle... allows a few bombing runs for the full backs etc, and w'd have a strong middle of the park.

Sturridge and Origi out wide... mumble mumble, hmn, yeah maybe with Ings in the middle? mumble mumble, hmn, yeah maybe... Ings out wide? Sturridge in the middle, Origi on the other side? mumble mumble, hmn, yeah maybe Origi in the middle? The others out wide? mumble mumble, hmn, yeah maybe Sturridge + Origi up front, Ings/Wino in behind... that looks good to me. Never really seen Wino as a 10 really, so that would be intriguing, but I'd like to see Ings there... would Wino offer a bit more muscle in the middle tho.

Channel 5 show highlights tomorrow. If they had any sense, they'd put on our game first as opposed to two teams who've won one match in nine between them.

We shouldn`t be that rigid to never change formations and find the appropriate tactical frames for whatever group of players we have available. You still get a midfield 3 , it`s just the 3 upfront in a slightly different shape.

We`ve seen Sturridge and Origi in two games at Soton where we played lights out and the reason why I think this might work really well is that 442 diamond is great for open games and Spurs will obviously come here to compete rather than park the bus or anything.

It suits both Sturridge and Origi and be in two up top rather than either of them going wide in a front 3 plus Gini was killing it for Newcastle as no.10.

They need to play in the same formation as the first team. Is there a tactical reason for wishing for a diamond that has escaped Klopp, or does it just sound cool to you?

Since we all know that Sturridge and Origi will start the most practical and appealing tactical solution for me is to start them as two upfront especially when you consider that our natural wide players like Phil, Mane and Ojo probably won`t be involved. And Klopp also used it last season on several occasions and it worked very well.

Seen some suggestions of spuds team on twitter, they are quite unknown some of them....

Still, I hope the changes don't spoil the game, I would like to see a good one.

Should be a good game this. I expect a strong team. Might see starts for Sturridge, Lucas and Moreno, but that's as far as we go. I don't expect us to start with any of the Academy players.

I love seeing some of our top prospects getting a chance to show what they can do. I also love seeing us blowing away teams with a starting 11 who are used to playing with each other.
So basically, whatever the line-up, I'm looking forward to it :)

This was who they put out against a not so formidable Gillingham in a 5-0 win:

    13 Vorm
    16 Trippier
    38 Carter-Vickers
    27 Wimmer
    33 Davies (Walkes 80')
    29 Winks
    28 Carroll
    11 Lamela
    23 Eriksen (Nkoudouat 60)
    25 Onomah
    9   Janssen (Edwards 75')

Substitutes

    5   Vertonghen
    7   Son Heung-min
    12 Wanyama
    14 Nkoudou
    41 Whiteman
    45 Walkes
    48 Edwards

Think we'll see something like that, tho I reckon it may be slightly 'weaker' than that.

Yeah I'd be  a little surprised not see Wijnaldum, Lallanna, Can and Firmino in the starting lineup. We don't have Europe and we should really be trying to win all the domestic competitions we can.
