Sounds like he's caught something...

Probably a cold from standing out waiting for Phil to pick him and his 4 mates up after his car broke down ;)

Far more nervous about this game than I was about the Chelsea one. Just win. Please win.

Firmino and Coutinho were linking up really well on Tuesday and Firmino has got a pretty good understanding with Mane already, so it should work. If not, it'll be good to know we have two out and out strikers we can call on if we need to try and change the game.

End of the day we've got five cracking attacking players for three positions.

It's gonna be a long season if you get annoyed with two of them being left out of the XI.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

I love how Klopp has been repeating how we need to stop thinking about who the opponent is. Doesn't matter if it's Chelsea or Hull, we will give them hell.

Most of our problems against these teams are mental. I remember teams used to come to Anfield and they were already defeated mentally. Well now we are already nervous and frustrated before a ball has been kicked!

The attitudes of many on here prove that. I love how Klopp is trying to change that even in the fans, so I'm sure we'll see it in the players.

He needs someone making space for him as he doesn't stretch the defensive with his runs, he's going to be dropping deep where Coutinho, Lallana and Wijnaldum look to operate making it very congested.
I'd agree if we didn't have Mane running in behind.
As it is, we *should* be fine today.

It's worth remembering that we do have Sturridge and Origi to call on if things don't work out. They may even be more effective against tired defenders after they were hasseled and harried for so long.

Official line is that he's not match fit.

A large part of being match fit is also being in the right head space. He clearly isn't, hence the call.

But anyway, let's focus on the lads who are in the team. Big shout for Karius today, I'm delighted to see him being given his chance. The only bummer is Lovren being out, but I don't see Hull giving us too many problems that Klavan can't handle. Matip should be among the first names on the team sheet these days.

Pleased also at the front line; movement, pace, creativity. Hull will not be looking forward to this one. Not predicting a score because we've been here before with this lot, so I'll close by saying I'll be happy with 3 points and another one out of the way.

Yeah, big call to start with Karius so soon. Otherwise the team mostly picks itself and the main thing will be staying focused on beating Hull by doing the same things we have been doing thus far. If we take our foot off the pedal then we give them a sniff.

I predict goals galore. Omce we score the first, Hull will just cave in. These are not the games that will decide their relegation status come season's end, I doubt they'll put up a fight.

Just win. Come on you reds!
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.
