Pepe Reina is now joint top of the clean sheet table with Vorm and Hart on 9.

Saved us a point tonight. Top save. Most keepers would've bottled it and gone to ground much much earlier
It's wonderful, it's marvellous, it's 3-3

That's according to Reds on here and all.

Both brilliant keepers and both clubs are lucky to have them. Wouldn't trade Pepe for Hart though.

Yeah, me neither. I'm sure Man City fans wouldn't trade Hart for Pepe which is fair enough.

Did really well for the save from Bale, he's excellent at staying on his feet against the opposition attacker.
We have to change from doubter to believer. Now.

If I'm honest Vorm probably deserves it. Amazing how he is level with Hart and Reina whilst being at Swansea who obviously have inferior defenders. He has probably made a lot more saves too, been a revelation this season imo.

Also and impressive stat on there, in 244 league games he has played in, he has kept 118 clean sheets!!

I cant view the Pepe pics in work :-(

I think his shotstopping has improved over the last couple of seasons or maybe he has just had more to do? His speed and sweeping up of situations hsa sometimes meant he hasnt had to make as many saves as some of his counterparts.

He has better distribution than other keepers and most defenders to be fair, plus he can play outfield when he has to!

It is been awhile since one of his saves has given us points. It is normally his passing and distribution these days that helps us with points.

His sweeping has definitely saved us some points, I can't think of examples off the top of my head, but it's definitely happened a lot. For saves though, the save against Chelsea had a huge part in us getting 3 rather than 0 points, maybe not that recent, but worth brining up because it was that good.

All for the team. Love Pepe. The way Pepe Skrtel Agger Hendo were standing up for Luis yesterday was brilliant. Shows how much of a twat Evra is aswell because Pepe is usually there to break it all up. Sticking together, nice to see, if anything was to come out of yesterday.

OBV force Spanish multinational to pull racist ad
Submitted 29 Feb 2012 1:47pm

In the last hour, OBV have learned that Spanish multinational insurance company, Groupama, which has a subsidiary here in the UK, has pulled one of its adverts currently showing in Spain that depicts Black people, in a jungle scenario as stupid, backward, animalistic homosexuals.

Sadly, however, the group go on to say,

“Groupama Seguros does not consider that this advert contains either offensive nor any discriminatory content.”

The advert which stars Liverpool and Spanish international goalkeeper Pepe Reina, plays on his surname Reina-which is translated to Queen in English. In the ad the blackened up chief chooses Reina, the Queen, as his partner in a lustful manner.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpmZPeZbI1Y

OBV’s Director Simon Woolley said,

“I’m shocked on so many levels. Firstly, how would the Spanish feel if the English stereotyped Spanish people as backward, stupid, and animalistic homosexuals? Secondly, what does this say about Pepe Reina? The Liverpool goalkeeper has lived and worked in the UK for nearly a decade, does he think it’s ok characterise Black people this way? Does he think his Black team mates will laugh at his joke?”

Given that Liverpool football club is trying to move forward from the Suarez affair, it is a shame that another one of their players has caused offence, by appearing in an advert that seems to come from a bygone era. Those who are old enough might remember those despicable Benson and Hedges Silk Cut Zulu ads of the 1970’s.
