As i said on the match thread last night, how long do you see players arguing with the Ref[Mourinho's teams have that to art form]over even a stonewall decision, one look at the Video Ref hopefully stops a lot of that.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see BBC Sport using a Rooney dive and a harsh red card against them (plus a wrongly-disallowed goal for us) as examples.

It feels like a good compromise to use video evidence for those specific situations, where the play has already been stopped. It will be interesting with disallowed goals though because players will stop once the whistle has blown, so the attackers get a small advantage if they believe they are onside and continue playing.
