Booked this to go for me and my son. Never had a Euro Away credit, hoping for a few spares. If not, just enjoy the atmosphere!

Sorry I have to apologizes in advance for my naivety.
I have never managed to go to away match in Europe, but I have just moved close to Dortmund and would love to go.  I cant find any information on how to buy tickets on the LFC website - can anyone tell me when tickets will be available?
Thanks
Hi mate, no worries.
It won't be possible for you to get a ticket in the away end without european away credits. If I was you, I'd try and get a ticket in their end, and soak up the atmosphere with all us travelling reds.

After dithering and missing out on early good deals we've finally got our travel booked cheap. Return Flights from Manchester to Brussels £46 Thursday-friday then car hire from there. It's not much fun for our driver but nearly gave it a miss seeing all the prices rocket so made up.

Yeah but this way you don't need to turn up, you can just send someone else..
But I agree it's a step in the right direction, but still think if they gonna have a collection point all tickets should be collected in person.
But with 3k tickets that's not really possible this time.

Sorry, i didnt word that very well. Its more for the ticket going unused. Look at Beşiktaş last year. Sold 4000 tickets and only 500 max turned up. This way the away end is full.

Try Gelsenskirchen for hotels, stayed there before and it's no more than half an hour on the train into Dortmund. Decent town as well.

Booked ours yesterday for €52

True that, but there's still many people buying for the credit and just shifting them.
I thought that was the think the club wanted to stop.

Well never mind, looking forward to Dortmund now :)

Looking at driving Liverpool - Dortmund.
Flights are crazy from most airports.
£120 diesel. £110 ferry. Hotel a few miles out quite cheap.

We're driving, only four and a half hours from Dunkirk so dead easy and with a full car works out much cheaper than any flights we found.

Ryanair mate. We've gone for the early Friday morning return. Thinks it's about £52 now. There's another that come back early on the Saturday for more like £80. Only 2hr 50min drive from Brussels. Be aware that it Chirelou airport rather than mani one so quite far out from Brussels but still sound for car hire

just got on this, half the price of the Dortmund ibis. That bit about your room might be cancelled if no show before19:00, does that bit where you put your credit card details in guarantee your room after that time? Expecting to arrive 21:00-2200.
We booked ours on Expedia and it just said either pay now or pay at hotel, so we ended up paying at hotel! Had confirmation so hopefully everything is ok
We're getting into Dusseldorf at 15:30 on the Wednesday so plenty of time as it's only about an hour to Bochum on the train

I don't think they will, I think was to act as a deterrent for the credit hunters who's ticket are not used in Ausburg.

Either try train whole way booking through Deutsche Bahn or maybe do a country search on flights to Germany, Netherlands (maybe Belgium) on Skyscanner and then check train from cheapest cities.......

Looking at doing this or the coach now as flights have gone through the roof.

I might see you there then, am on the 6.50am out too. Don't forget you need to check in 30 mins before at St Pancras on way out and at Brussels on the way back for security checks.

I was gonna get the 6.50am Thurs too, but all the connections meant it didn't arrive in Dortmund 'til about 3pm.......I thought not a lot a time before the game to soak up the atmosphere etc. Decided to go day before and have 2 nights there, back Friday. The connections are a bit of a pain though - as on the ticket you have to travel on certain trains only, ICE, IC & EC......no regional services allowed.

Do you need to book ahead to get from Dusseldorf to Dortmund on the train?

Only if you are using IC or ICE trains, you can get a day regional ticket for 43 euros for RE trains that covers up to 5 people
