Possibly, they may start on the ones on the next street along and leave them for the time being as look like they may still be lived in so those residents might have a little longer to leave.

All housing which has to go for the new stand is now vacated and large hoarding now snakes it's way along Anfield Road and down Alroy Rd which is the next one down from Lothair. It then crosses Rockfield Rd and through two demolished houses onto Walton Breck Rd where it joins up with the hoarding erected at the "Albert" end of the Main Stand. The site is completely fenced in now and everything within is set to be flattened over the coming weeks. I'd guess the site will be ready to start constructionon, not that we can yet, in about 8/10 weeks. We'll be in a position to commence construction literally immediately PP is given. Things are really starting to move now.

Great to see the work's progressing.  Still makes me have a tinge of sadness in a way though.  Now they're demolished, what's the next part to go?  Is it a building-by-building thing or will a few go at the same time?

There's the opposite side to go yet and one side of another street which presumably is next, then board the fence up and prepare the ground for the next phase once planning comes in.

Hopefully work will begin in Autumn on actual stand.

Work isn't likely to start until the end of the year / start of next.

i am glad they are gettin rid of the seat behind wheelchair to make gangway wider a bit but my main worry is those people who stand in front by the hoarding board to take pics when us disabled cant see the warm up or take pics too hope this will be approve when one day if i have to sit in the paddock area

the disabled bays should be in the paddock for this reason
maybe when the new main stand is built

Correct although I think we'll be expecting the results of the planning application to be through in Sept/Oct, the application has been in a while already.

They must have got the nod that it's getting approval and the decision notice will just be a formality sometime in September/October as you say. The Contractor is already on board for the works, demolition has started etc. It's a done deal.

I'm guessing this will be more to do with the wall around the main stand and parts that are incorporated within that area (coach entrance, shankly gates, car park wall etc). They wont need planning permission to start breaking those down without touching the stand.

If the talk is that they are ready to take apart the Shankly gates ready for storage then the question should be asked about the Hillsborough memorial. Will there just be a generic gate in its place or will they be starting to move the memorial?

The club have been liaising with the families about the new location of the memorial and what happens during the building works.
