bit of a shithouse boot on messi to be fair! was that 2 reds in his last 2 games?

On the bright side, he can have a Dec off and go on a vacation to some place warm.

I agree with downtown, Sagna and especially are better than Ramos. Lahm is one of the most underrated players on the planet.

Thanks for your amazing argument.

Do you guys even watch him?

I rarely ever see him beaten in 1 vs 1s, Bale beat him once last week, and he had a bad game vs WBA.

Also chips in with a lot of assists.

Who is better? Darby ?

Sagna is nowhere near the level of Ramos. He had a good first season at Arsenal but he has faded, just like Clichy.

He is a poorer version of Glen Johnson.

And yes, I've watched him play. A lot.

So Ramos is better than Lahm by the virtue of one mistake against Spain, seeing Ramos getting skinned time after time by Ryan Babel should be enough to convince anyone this argument is pointless

Torres' chip was delicious.

Lahm is top 5 right backs in the world.

Can't agree that Sagna is though an I rate Ramos higher than Sagna.

Seriously, extra time in the semi's of the Euro's vs. a home game against Bilbao?

Anyways, I guess we could keep posting youtube videos all night and it wouldn't prove anything.

Maybe someone should start a pole? ;)

Bit of a daft argument this anyways, it's all down to opinion....... but Lahm is better!

But then again Bilbao's defence is better than Turkey's defence IMO, and this was never in extra time.

My opinion is that Ramos is the third best right back in the world, Lahm is not far behind him

I don't watch every single Real game but I can safely say that Ramos is absolutely awful defensively. I think it was in the 6-2 game against Barca a few years ago, he was caught out so many times.

Plus he's a c*nt of the highest order. What a sore loser.

I know what your saying but sometime ramos isnt abit rash to decision making and makes a few mistakes. Mourinho has singled him out for being shit at start of the season by dressing him down public infront of him team mates. And he even tried to go for a rightback in the summer so that should say something.

Still, no excuses for that kick at Messi and shithouse behaviour at his NT teammates because of it.

I don`t care about him and Puyol and Xavi acting like a bunch of fannies, but the kick on Messi showed very little class, and just underlined how shit he was all game. It would have been more manly to put on a stoic face and not let Barca know that they had gotten to him.

Lahm is clearly a better RB than Ramos, but Ramos is still pretty good. His problem is more mental than anything- he knows how to play well and can read the game, but he is very hot-headed and hasn't learned when to push forward and when to stay back. In 2-3 years I think he'll be much better, if he drops the rashness and learns a bit of discipline. Arby should really be starting over him- think he is very very underrated and easily one of the top 10 all around RBs in world football

Bottom line- Grade A twat, but still a good RB.

Wouldn't have him over Glen, though.

Wow, just seen it...what a c*nt.
Seems like theres a not a lot of love between the Spanish lot (Casillas/pique had a little spat, Ramos/all the barca spaniards with the pushing etc). You'd think they'd be good mates after what they've achieved together, and at least a bit of respect but no, none at all.

I think Casillas was calming Pique down more than anything and telling him to stay out of it.

Just because they had a bit of a row in a high pressure game against two fiercest rivals doesn't mean they dont like each other.

Fuck, come to think of it...my two best mates....I've had full blown scraps with both of them...at least once.

They were probably laughing about it after the game. It really was nothing.

Wouldnt be surprised if Puyol sends Ramos a cheeky text about getting him send off.

Overrated as an attacking player. Average at best there. Can't defend to save his life. Positioning is awful and tactical awareness is pretty much nil.

Already had a bad attitude before and when you get Mourinho as a coach, it tends to get even worse.

Complete c*nt.

Lost his cool......in a match against their fiercest rival....getting embarrassed and tortured for about 90 minutes.....and lashed out.

What a c*nt for caring.

he's not a c*nt for caring. he's a c*nt for channeling that feeling into a vicious kick tended to deliberately harm his opponent.
i can actually understand the emotion behind it though, sometimes i wish football was like hockey in that they have enforcers
who are allowed to literally pummel each other into the ground if given any excuse.

i would in any case pay good money to see Mascherano go after Sergio Ramos after that kick

He is better in the air, but Glen absolutely rapes him on the ground and when it comes to having quick feet.

The only top team who'd have Ramos as their starter is Juve imo, and Milan (Abate has improved a lot this season though)

The horse-face is constantly saved by Puyol and Pique, yet he was having a go at them. Fucking not only he is an average defender, but his head is completely empty. His brain farts are so comical at times.

His overhyped reputation is due to Spain's success. I have heard a description of him on RTE like "Ramos is a Paul McShane on steroids". Seems pretty accurate.

Can I ask behind Alves and Maicon who are the other top 5 RBs in the world, clearly Sagna, Neville or Rafael, Bosingwa, Abate, Motta and Cassetti are not in the top 5 RBs in the world, we have one in Johnson who maybe on Ramos' level BTW, but to say Ramos isn't one of the top five RBs in the world is just ridiculos
The young lad, Azpilicueta, the former Osasuna player, now at Marseille is pretty good and by all accounts, should replace headless chicken that's Ramos in Spanish NT.
