see rather than having ads have rawk bosses thought about something like quidco ? so if i buy through quidco i get a certain % cash back ? with ads would be hard to control what is advertised

The best way is to get a sponsor, which can be implemented into the banner. But that can look tacky and doesn't bring in much cash.

What about an advert at the bottom of the page to start? Better then nothing, maybe a simple Google Adsense. Out of the way but if it gets clicks then its an added bonus. Plus with regular members knowing its there we can always give it a few clicks from time to time.

Anyway i came here to say i absolutely hate that man city one. Annoys the hell out of me that a video starts and you'd have to click it everytime to stop. The only thing it does is keep me away from the site.

We have a system called Skimlinks that puts a few coppers in the coffers every month. That's as far as we've been prepared to go. Personally, if I go on a forum with banner ads and page ads I log off and try somewhere else.
