FA Youth Cup Finalists 1961, 1977, 1983, 2002

So here we are again. The first Derby day of the season, and after a shit 0-0 draw with Stoke at Anfield last week, everyone's looking for a good trashing of the blues across the park on Sat'dee.
On the bright side, we are still undefeated and second in the league. Many of us are sure that this is the perfect opportunity for Robbie to 'break the duck' and get his name on the score sheet for Liverpool, for the first time!  :wave

Thanks to B.U.N.T.E.R, Yobowannabe and BlueShark from the 'blueroom', for contributing to this Spyin', hope you enjoy the read!  :scarf

How has the season been shaping up so far?

B.U.N.T.E.R: dissapppointing. We had an easy start on paper - and a chance to get near the top of the league before the next four games...we failed to spend any significant money or bring in players early. Therefore realistically find ourselves near the bottom come the end of october.

Yobowannabe: Dissapointing start, but we seemed to have turned the corner (hopefully)

BlueShark: Disappointing. Happy that we are scoring goals, but our defense has gone completely awful. And still no confirmation of Moyes signing a new contract.

What are your expectations for this season? Have they changed from day one?

B: they havent changed from day one although they have changed from the end of last season. At the end of last season evertonians were thinking that given the previous missed opportunites that this year could eb the one to kick us one, spend a bit of money and attempt to get at the top four. Unfortuantely Bill Kenwright doesn't seem to have this ambition..so realistically I'd be happy with a top ten finish.

Y: Not changed at all I said top 6 at the start and I still firmly beleive that.

BS:  No, because our total lack of summer transfer activity (last day or two notwithstanding) convinced me we were never going to build upon last season's success.

Who do you think is your most important player(s)?

B: arteta is definetly the play maker that keeps us afloat, as well as our goal scorers. the Yak is obviously massively important, but cahill also fits into the bracket..although im still not convinced hes a midfielder.

Y: Yak and Tata

BS:  Yakubu, Arteta. I have high hopes for Saha if he stays fit.

Your worst player(s)?

B: neville and jagielka in midfield - how anyone could repeatedly make this mistake, let alone a Premier League manager is beyond comprehension

Y: Neville when he is in Midfield, although this may get a bit of **** Yobo is starting to scare me a tad (may have to change me name!)

BS:  Can you count a player that doesn't feature? if so, Van Der Meyde. More regular, it would be Neville in any other position than RB.

Do you have a particular memory of any previous meeting between our clubs? Say something that happened to you that day or a decision you disagreed with?

B: does the sending off of tony hibbert and the giving of a penalty that wasnt even in the box count?

Y: CLATTENBURG CAKE, and who can forget graeme poll blowing for full time as the ball crossed the line for what would've been an everton winner (after your keeper tw@tted the ball off don hutchisons back and it looped back over him and rolled in)

BS: The Clattenburg debacle, and your fan that punched Neville. AJ's hat trick.

What sort of line-up will be put out against us?

B: one that hasnt had time to gel yet

Y: Strongest

BS: I'm guessing a 4-5-1

Do you have any favourite/best chant(s) and perhaps any that require an explanation?

B: who's pancake again?

B: Nah

BS: nope

Where do you expect Everton and Liverpool to finish in the Premier League?

B: neither team will win anything. but you'll be above us in the top half of the league

Y: 4th & 6th

BS: Liverpool 4th, Everton 8th-10th

BCup Winners:
League - the Mancs
UEFA Cup - AC milan
Champions League - Chelsea
FA Cup - us

Y: Cup Winners: - Spurs
League - Mancs
UEFA Cup - Us
Champions League - Mancs
FA Cup - Mancs

BS: Cup Winners:
League - Chelsea
UEFA Cup: Impossible to tell yet
Champions League: Too close to call yet.
FA Cup: Man Utd

Which Liverpool player will you fear the most?

B: gerard. who else can influence a refereethe way he can

Y: Agger looks like a nutter oh i get ya probably your 2 man team.

BS:  Gerrard, who will be desperate to score his 100th goal, Torres and Keane because they are going to have to start justifying their price tags soon (in Torres's case I obviously mean for this season alone). I'd also add the ref to this section!

Do you hate Liverpool fans, and why?

B: certainly not. because im not a halfwit

Y: I dont hate them they were just brought up wrong

BS: Hate is too strong. Some I think are idiots. But's that's as individuals, not because they support Liverpool.

Care to predict the score?

B: 1-1. at least 2 dismissals

Y: 1-1

BS: 3-1 to your lot. More bookings than Man Utd vs Chelsea.

SK: Good luck blues reds for Saturday  :D

I know they live in a parallel universe but even so - when did these events happen?!

Not as bitter as I would've thought but also not as in depth answers as I would've thought. Then again maybe the two go hand in hand. I understand the use of the word guarded here and to be honest, its a poisoned chalice doing the Spyin' Kop for Everubbish and the Mancs.

Cheers mate.

AJ's hatrick was the season before last at Goodison, surprised you can't remember!

He 'only' got 2 didn't he? The little runt Cahill got the other. Still a shite day but there's no way the embryo scored 3

European Cup Winners 1986.

 :D

UEFA Cup - Us

Erm..??  Call me bias but to draw 2 - 2 at home against a team who lets admit it outplayed us and expect to get through to the next round by beating them away??

The Gerard quote about influencing the referee gave me a giggle I must admit.

That wasn't anywhere near as negative as I thought it would be. Good read actually. They don't sound too happy about their team's performances.
I laughed about the ref comments. The poster that goes by the name B.U.N.T.E.R kind of contradicted himself

Quote
Where do you expect Everton and Liverpool to finish in the Premier League?

B: neither team will win anything. but you'll be above us in the top half of the league

BCup Winners:
League - the Mancs
UEFA Cup - AC milan
Champions League - Chelsea
FA Cup - us

He said he thought neither team would win anything then went on to say he thought his team would win the FA Cup.
He's only on loan,
he's only on loannnn,

he'll be coming back home!
