Joe Cole looks as if he's looked after himself over the summer. Looks leaner than I remember him (ditto with a few other players, Wilson in particular). For about 10-15 minutes in the middle of that first half Cole looked a fantastic player. Then he started the familiar hands-on-hips, puffing-for-air stuff up again but nonetheless, done enough to make me wonder.

We've had problems against 'lesser' sides for years. This time last year we were drawing 0-0 and losing 1-0 at whatever Scandinavian second division club we were at. The contrast between the quality and the positivity of the football then and now is huge.

No they are not. They're playing in the second tier in China league, but have a good chance to get promotion this year. guangzhou Ever green is best team out there, they are mancity like, have a sugar daddy like abramovich.
