Lancs won the toss and are 126/3 - Hameed just got dismissed for 47

Yorkshire are 110/3 - both openers and Handscomb dismissed.

Glamorgan going well after winning the toss. They are 97/9

Always good to give youth a chance!

Jimmy should probably bat in the top 6 with our line up! He and Jarvis put on 50 for the last wicket, taking Lancs to 319.

Essex running out of ideas against Lancashire.  They have used 8 different bowlers in this 2nd innings.  ;D

Day one at The Oval for Surrey v Lancs,  would have been good to get to a day but I'm away.

Lancs recovered from 67/5 to close on 294/6. Maiden first class ton for Jordan Clarke (huzzah), celebrated with dab apparently (eurgh!).

Bumble was having a moan on Twitter about the lack of spinners being played, blaming it on the time of the year most of the County Champ matches are being played - mainly in grey and damp conditions. Saying he'd rather play 10 matches in June, July and August to produce better spinners. Thoughts?

In principle I agree with him but the twenty20 which is the money earner for the counties is played during that period which takes priority for the counties, so thus we get this schedule.

Somerset recovered to 270 odd all out and had Lancs two down early, Hameed failed again. Unbeaten centuries from Alex Davies (his second of the season) and Liam Livingstone have put Lancs 50 odd ahead though, great turnaround.

Yeah very nice recovery from Lancs. 423/7

A lead of about 250 going into the last day. It will probably end up a draw to be honest. Skies are grey up north. Which will be a good result after being dismissed for 109 first up.

Yorkshire made to follow on. Which is a shame.

Is Yorky not posting on Rawk at the moment? That's a shame (not just because Yorkshire are following on!).

Lancs normally start the season well before going about 3 months without a win. Seem to be starting with Draws instead this time. Only 8 in the top flight too, is it still two up,two down?

Liam Livingstone seems fairly highly rated,  toured with the Lions in the winter, captaining the side at the momentum started the season quite well. Think he's another Cheshire boy isn't he?

2 teams go down from Div 1 and only the top team from Div 2 get promoted. I assume it is because there is 18 counties in Div 1 (8 ) and 2 (10) and you can't have two leagues of 9 as would mean 1 team not playing each week.

Livingstone is from Barrow but you're right he did play in the Cheshire Leagues for Nantwich. He is very highly rated and as you rightly said he has played for the Lions in Sri Lanka. Wouldn't be surprised to see him around the ODI setup in the next couple of years.

They are back on now. I imagine they'll be off and on all day. All the breaks should hinder Somerset batting out a draw. But I would say at some point there is going to be a big down pour and they'll be off a while.

The suns out and so are 2 of the Somerset batsmen.

42/2

At Hampshire Yorkshire needs 63 to avoid the follow on with 5 wickets in hand. Ballance 127*
