Another fantastic post Johnny, thanks for that. Not a lot to argue with in there.

I quite agree with what you say about the owners not needing to know football and the experience that FSG have in successfully running sporting companies. I hadn't thought of it in quite those terms before but it's very true.

With regards to Roy's contract I recall Broughton saying that he had specifically negotiated a clause in Roy's contract that wouls allow any new owner to remove him easily and cheaply (http://www.soccernews.com/hodgson-has-release-clause-broughton/62845/ & http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=830526&sec=england&cc=5739). But I also recall Roy denying this. I know who I believe.....

Dammit. I'll try to be patient ... but it's so hard!

BTW .... I just read that the pre-match press conference has been cancelled .... that makes me feel MUCH better! Come on FSG! You know what you need to do.

Money is whats needed. Money to payout Hodgson. Money to payout Villa Boas contract and bring him to Anfield. Money to buy new players. In the end, itll all come down to whether or not NESV are ready to invest to get some success. I think they will find money, but maybe they're just waiting for us to lose against ManU in the cup before acting. Thats it in a nutshell.
