Great report Christine.

I had the misfortune to share the plane home with the Prices - managed to loose Mooro at the airport........not on purpose (he had a squidgy bum !!). Young Jim wanted to sing all the way home, whist Jim snr was still cracking jokes and trying to sell me some cavity wall insulation.

Finally got my voice back, spent the weekend as a hermit drinking pints of Tixy Lix and eating only Smoothers.  Happy daze.

Great read. I've never been to a Euro away but I've got to get my arse in gear and get some money together to go soon, they always sound fantastic!

Mind you at the mo I'm struggling to afford games in the UK so it might be a while...

I'll make it one day hopefully to have a few bevvies with all you regulars!

Great read, brought a smile to my face on a monday morning in work. Tell you what, if Carra is captain come the summer, we'll never hear the end of it...  ;D

Filled in a few blanks for me there Christine.

My post was gonna be a bit less gramatically splendid. (Due to the fact I couldnt remember much till I read yours)

1. Got pissed
2. Nearly missed flight (Last Bag Rich)
3. Got more pissed on train to Cologne
4. Got to Cologne....Met Rafa...got even more pissed.
5. Went the match
6. Got pissed
7. Missed flight
8. Went to the pub
9. Flew back

Pretty verbose if you ask me.
All the badge kissing in the world don't make up for the fact that they are, frankly, not Liverpool Football Club. It's not their fault. Its just how it is.

Brilliant Chris
much better than the run of the mill match report.
90 minutes in a three day match event sometimes passes in the blink of an eye.
In years to come, the score will become hazy, but you'll never forget the trip.

Superb Christine - everyone just seems to have had one of the best trips of their lives. Its going to be hard to forget that.

See you at the next one!

Awesome report, epic trip!

we did Mon-Fri flying easyjet Eastmids and frequented all the same places although not at the same times! (Jamiesons/voodoo Mon and Wed, Papa Joes Thurs) but were having a crazy night in Barneys when you were meeting Rafa!

Well whatever cost to my bank balance (such as it is), Career (ditto) and marriage (treble ditto) I'm hooked again after a 28 year absence from the reds abroad trips. I'll be seeing you all again soon!!! ;)
At Ataturk one persistant soul
Sang “walk alone” behind the goal

Soon all around the twelfth man sang
Around that dismal place it rang

We did our bit that fateful night
My brothers brown or black or white

I raise my glass through wind and rain
It’s cheers until we meet again

So the dozy arse who lost her purse down the bog did well, especially as i had to phone Christine to advise that the purse contents were still in the bat after the owner left.

Could you imagine Mourinho, Wenger or Fergie doing that sort of stuff? i couldn't! It's things like that that cheer me up when i get disillusioned with the game..
