Im not gonna start a PR speech for PES but its an alternative none the less.

In all likelyhood they'll still have the same 'You'll never work again' chants at Anfield, considering they still trot out the same commentary lines year after year. Laugh it up then ;)

Peter Moore is a big Liverpool supporter (so he says) and he's in charge of the entire EA Sports division. I'm surprised he hasn't tapped Rutter on the shoulder and had a word in his ear about that chant. Either way you can simply put YNWA in there proper with the custom chant thing like I did in 11, so you just take it that it's the away supporters singing "Sign On" at Anfield, as some usually tend to do anyway. It's not like it's never heard in the ground, but the fact that some dickhead in EA has mistaken it as the official chant either unintentionally or otherwise is what's annoying.

I use custom chants anyway. And they recorded quite a lot of new material this year for the commentary, although if Martin Tyler's Former Monkey hadn't ruined his commentating career last season it probably would've stayed the same. Beats Jon Champion though.

What's wrong with calling him Gray?

This is the ultimate team squad. Offline squad will be bigger. Suso was in our offline squad in 11 and he's not on that list.

Okay thanks

Sterling will be in it, he was in 11 and Suso will be aswell.

He wasnt, even after the update. Im 100% sure he wasnt because i still play it and i use liverpool

EA officially said it would be, they said it would be but without the impact engine, then with it, so it is identical, played both demos, not much difference bar less jaggies on PC.

Rutter is also supposedly a Liverpool fan. He's never been to a game no doubt though or even watched one judging from the representation of Liverpool. The only time FIFA got us quite well was that 2006/07 Champion's League game they did. On my FIFA 11 there weren't any Liverpool songs at all at Anfield.

Fifa 10 Torres was un-defendable.
So so fast and never missed.
Even Fifa 11 I would be still beat most people online with Suarez and Kuyt up front.

Downloaded the demo the other day and i'm not really sure what to think of it.

Honestly, i'm a casual player at best so that may have coloured my opinion, i just think that they have tried to be too clever with the new defending system. I know loads of people will have raised this point but playing on anything above 'semi-pro' against Barca and the possession stats could easily be 25-75%.

It is probably very realistic but i would imagine that online play against a superior player will be very trying as you will simply never have the ball.

Little bit dissapointed if i'm honest overall. I think they have actually may have been a victim of their own success in that they have created a very realistic game that may end up driving a few players away.

I've just noticed that if you just try and tackle an attacking player they can dodge it quite easily and have a high pass success rate but if you use teammate pressure they make more errors.

Not sure how people think its more realistic than 11,first  20 odd mins of Liverpool game today,no time on the ball, high pressure, sure unsustainable for the whole match but it happens in matches like it or not.

There is pressure and there is automatic, heat-seeking style missile pressure where all that is required is for a player, any player, to get within tackling distance to instantly and flawlessly knick the ball of your player without fail each and every single time. That does not happen in the real sport no matter what, and it doesn't happen in 12 either.

Seems more realistic to me, particularly the defending. In 11 you can just bash the buttons and get the ball back easily. Have to bide your time on this one. I'm still rubbish like.

I've always thought it was too easy to tackle on Fifa since they started getting their act together but it's not the case any more and that's good. You have to defend at the back instead of expecting to win the ball back before the opponent even gets into your half, and that's made this game alot more like the game in real like IMO.

personally think they have over done it.
players dont get close enough

you cant put enough pressure on

there seems a varrier that stops you

in 11 if you over commited a simple L2 and wiggle of the direction would ALways fool them.....online unless they jockeyed properly.
they could only then win the ball by timing their tackle.

ea have gone a bit too passive imo and hopefully they will make that "barrier a little closer

There's clearly a fine balance though between the defending being too powerful and the attacking being more tactical.

Nah, my old man works at the airport as a cargo manager. Past few years, they've received extra boxes of FIFA 09, FIFA 10 and FIFA 11 which EA refuse to take back and the stores refuse to stock them. The same will probably happen this year too so I end up with a copy the day it's out, sometimes earlier. Works out well for me like.

Playing against another human the defending does not feel too bad but when you play the computer (or whatever it's called) it feels a lot harder as they keep possession very well.

I remember one my mate and me were playing FIFA 07' together and he was playing with Barcelona, Xavi hit the worst of shots near to the corner flag and Andy Gray went, 'That is as close as you can get without scoring'.

I laughed my ass off.
